I feel like people focus so much on the eagles passing game with Vick and his targets that they don't understand how good they are is all around
The eagles were #5 in the league in rushing yards per game last year, including #1 by a huge magin in yards per carry at 5.4 (and you saw it again today with them getting 200+ yards rushing). Defensively, this team will be AWESOME this year. The first team defense only gave up 12 total points on offense in the preseason and they played great again today after that early rush touchdown by Steven Jackson (albeit the Rams had some injuries but still)
This team really only has 2 weaknesses, their run defense is somewhat suspect with such a young linebacking crew and Vick's ability to adjust his offensive line and detect the blitz is somewhat weak. But both of those areas should improve as the season goes on and this team is gonna have an unbelievable pass defense with an excellent defensive line and the best cornerback trio in the league
I keep telling everybody that the eagles could win 13-15 games this year and people look at me like I'm crazy. Vick had a 43% completion percentage today and the eagles still won by 18 on the road... Looking at their schedule, I see 4 legitimate challenges (Atlanta, chicago, new england, new jersey), if they split those 4 games they will go 14-2
