So today's basically a wash so far... Up 1.5x (.5x in the thread due to unbolding of ATL)

Okay, executing my week-long lean of:
NY Giants -3 1x
Pretty even teams, but going with the Giants because I like their toughness, top to bottom, better than the Boys'. Plus of course Manning has been pretty damn clutch all year when they've needed him. Romo's been very good but I trust Eli more, especially at home. I also trust the Giants' coaching staff slightly more than Garrett, Ryan, etc. And finally, you don't know exactly what level of Romo or F. Jones you'll be getting tonight. If they're only at 75% against a fired up Giants team and crowd, it swings the Giants' way. Just a one-unit play. We'll see about 2H, live, etc.Comment -
Damn, I was too conservative with that play -- loved the Giants all week and let myself get scared off of a multi-unit play. Ah well, let's hang on for the 1x, not gonna try and get greedy now. Can't complain about a +2.5x day I guess.Comment -
Okay, tallying up...
Another positive week. For Week 17, Every-game-ATS only went 7-8-1, but posted plays went 7-5 for +1.5x.
That makes seven consecutive weeks of positive units + winning record w/ plays!
Over that span, posted plays went 45-23-3!
Final regular-season totals look like this:
Every-game-ATS: 128-116-2
Best-bet plays: 69-55-5
Really, other than one rough stretch from Weeks 6-9, this was another solid regular season.
And now we move on to the second season... At first glance, I was salivating at Pitt -7, but it's already gone up... and I'm a little concerned about no Mendenhall and possibly no Ryan Clark either. My head is saying that Tebow has no chance to make plays against the Steelers' D, but if Fox brings out some trick plays to take advantage of an aggressive D, and you get a crazy playoff atmosphere there w guys playing off the crowd, it just makes me nervous. Still, I don't see how Steelers are not a play. I fully endorse jumping on the -7.5.Comment -
What's up, All? I'm looking forward to watching these games, but to be honest, there is not a single play this weekend that I feel great about. I see all the numbers being close, and easily swinging against me/us with a single great special-teams play, bogus PI call, or inopportune turnover. Injuries have ruined it, too... I wanted to dive in with the Steelers, but I'm too scared off by all the dinged-up or missing guys. I also wish we didn't have these unpredictable rookie QBs.
So after looking at the games closely, I'm making just a few small plays today:
Cincy/Houston 1H under 19.5 1x
Cincy/Houston under 38 1x
Detroit/NO 1H under 30.5 2x

Don't know about you guys, but yesterday's two games were the clear appetizers for today's double-header... Fascinating games, can't wait to see how they play out!
So Game 1 is a capital-B BITCH to unravel... the thing about it is that you can easily see great angles in BOTH directions! What I mean is:
In Atlanta, I see a team that is really focused this time around. These guys are 0-2 in the playoffs but all the pieces are in place for them to TAKE THE NEXT STEP. Finally weapons on offense all over the field for Ryan to use, and Matty Ice is playing very well, and the Giants secondary is nothign to write home about. You have a motivated O-line who got called out by the Giants... (who despite going against a great front, have NOT given up sacks at all over the second half of the year)... You have a dome team tired of hearing they won't win a big game on the road... and the weather will be FINE. They NEED to win this game to get the monkey of Ryan's and Smith's backs, whereas the Giants might be feeling a little entitled, like they're supposed to win this one so they can just show up and they'll take it.
But on the OTHER side, you've got Eli coming off a fantastic season in which he's been money down the stretch of both the season and within games... you've got some special receivers and a suspect secondary with NO BRENT GRIMES on the other side... Perhaps biggest of all, their DEFENSE IS HEALTHY now, finally, and everyone knows what they can do if all three of JPP, Tuck, and Osi are healthy...
So where do you fukkin' go if you want to play this???
Even the O/U has angles both ways... You could say the Falcons will need to win the possession game and play ball control with Turner, so if they can do that, it's the Under 47.5. However, I can also see them playing up-tempo and trying to neutralize the Giants D with a lot of hurry-up, which makes me lean Over.
