This game is offically over guys and it'll be the Lions and Bombers in the Grey Cup game. The Lions are simply too strong for this Eskimos club and as I had previously mentioned, their defense would force Ray into making mistakes which in turn would result in turnovers and that was the case moments ago with the Lions pick. This has the makings of an easy double digit rout to be quite honest! Being a Lions fan, it'll be nice playing at home in the big one to close out one heck of a turn around season.
By the way if something happens and the Leos completely flop in the second half, thereby losing this game, I'll have to eat crow but judging from the way they're playing, it's just not going to happen. In fact in all honesty, I don't really think the Eskimos would have even been here today had Burris played the entire game a week ago.Comment -

It's a good point, along with the momentum. I mean, big year for them...new stadium, huge record, people jumpin' aboard the fanwagon. Even here in TO, I've asked some buds what they think and they are all riding BC's rooster this Cup, but only since the last couple of weeks. It will be hard to put the fire out, IMHO. So desperately wanted to see 'Mos or Cats in it but this should still be a good game. May take a long hard look at the total.Comment -

As I look back into the most recent games, I look at BC's record... and as impressive as it looks... well.. is it?
Of their last 12... since they lost to Winnipeg actually - they are 11-1... yes.. ELEVEN...out of twelve...
So then you have to break it down - They OWNED Edmonton 4x... Toronto 2x... Sask 2x... Cal 2x... and Montreal... Losing just to the Tiger Cats?
Now that we look through the window of the past... we basically know that NONE of these teams in the West were good for much... Edmonton's Offense was terrible...Calgary's Offense was Terrible... Riders offense was terrible... Toronto.. uh... ya... The only Thing we COULD say here is that the Edmonton Defense was the best of the bunch, and that didn't do much in the big picture did it... QB Lulay moved the ball all day and night at will...

Oh wait... Did anyone notice that the Bombers in their last 11 games... so 3 months... they have won.. Exactly - Including their playoff game - THREE Games... Yes.. they are 3-8 since beating up on the Lions in mid August... They basically LOST to the Riders 2x - Edmonton 1x - Montreal 2x - Calgary 1x- Are you kidding they lost to TORONTO 2x...
Yes the CFL is full of a few good team, and mostly mediocre teams - BC beat them ALL and them some... They beat everyone the system put in front of them - Winnipeg? Well they started great - 5-0... ended 10-8 - a HORRIBLE season essentially AFTER week 5...
On paper this game looks sharp... looks like the bombers, who have only lost twice, and not lost by more than 3 points will be competitive....
And at +295 I really, REALLY wanted to look at Winnipeg... but lets face it... There is NOTHING about Winnipeg that says this will be close... this is Wally's game - He will be victorious over "Donkeyville" - that has done absolutely NOTHING for the past 3 months but play competitive - ish... but mostly lost.. to bad - bad teams - The 5 win Riders beat them up TWICE - Only reason they beat Hamilton in My opinion is because Hamilton "blew their wad" against Montreal the week before -
I also believe the line is a total trap line.. For the record, VERY few games fall on 7 - If ever - Those that want to bet the game, may feel relatively "safe" taking the TD - but the real number that would get people to bet BC is 6 - Don't believe the Oddsmen want you taking BC and will Juice the hel out of it, and by tomorrow it will probably go to 7.5 in most places - STILL a bargain -
Want to know how many games this year landed on 7? Out of 76 games this year - TWO - Just two... 2.6% ... This IS NOT the NFL... games are either 6 or 8... 7 is dead space... but for the average fan, that looks like a "pleasing" number - but us in this thread are alot smarter than the average fan - Don't buy into it...
Despite my generally good Total this year - I really have a tough time looking at this one other than to say that this may be a case of a Winnipeg throwing everything they have at BC fairly early on, and keeping it a Field position battle until finally, like against Edmonton, the BC Offense just wears them down - But I can see this being a case of the BC DEFENSE really stepping it up as well - The Irony - the BC defense steps up vs "Swaggerville" and they win 28-3 or something completely unentertaining...
