This game has Winnipeg all over it, particularly with the 2.5 point trap line... Look, back to being an Esk fan... I will lay off the game, and more importantly enjoy my beer(s) at the game, but with the Esks Offensive line banged up and injured... Starting Center among them, trying to protect QB Ray and Block that beast of a defensive line of Winnipeg, I'm thinking that this has the potential to get ugly... although, with 49 points as the mark, I really think that this has the makings of an ugly field positioning can't get the offense going under with both Defenses playing this one like a playoff game, right near the playoffs...

Since Week 10 when Montreal lost to Hamilton, they are 4-1, with the only loss coming to Winnipeg by 2 points... Hamilton is 2-3 and appearing to be slightly fading... If the Cats are to NOT go on the road for their 1st playoff game, they pretty much HAVE to win this game ... Playoff Atmosphere? possible... Under 56... probably... I don't think Hamilton wants to get into a shootout with the Als, and hope to contain Calvillo to say... 350 yards...

With that said, I'm not sure the Als are interested in letting the Cats play this one too close, and will likely get ahead early, and stay there... 6 points at home for the Als seems like just the perfect line to play the home team here, but I'm not going to go strong with clearly a desperate Ti Cat team playing for their playoff seeding lives... Playing in both Winnipeg AND Montreal will be a VERY tough road to the Grey Cup...

Not a great game to love in the least... Going to Tease the line 6 points here, for a few reasons...

1) These 2 teams tend to play close games, 2 of the last 3 going to the wire..
2) Esks don't take much for granted the last few years on the schedule, but really, can you really NOT help looking to the matchup next week vs BC for Home field in the playoffs
3) 2 teams been playing really good defense, but I hate the low number in 48...
4) 2 teams really been focusing on RB's with Messam and Boyd the top of their class...

Once upon a time these used to be competitive games, Until The Riders decided to Blow this year and do much of nothing except for two strange weeks against Winnipeg...

Calgary goes into this game losing to Toronto, and BC, since they last beat.. The Riders 3 weeks ago... now with a 10 point spread... (It was 6 last time)... but this week QB Drew Tate will start, and if we saw a preview last week in the 2H, he looks like a gunslinger... QB Burris will be the backup, and rightfully so, he can't seem to find anyone lately, killing drives, forcing balls... I'm thinking there may be some pace tonight getting back to the old days of the 43-37 variety...

Where I really think this game lies is a huge perception of Saksatchewan being terrible... which they are... but is Calgary 10 points better? At home yet where they are 3-4... Not so sure... I'm also going to sort of make an assumption, a very mild one, that the Riders will attempt to play tough by scoring a few points for once... that' part is definitely a stretch but they showed signs of life last week vs BC...
