I'd be surprised if he didn't have a promising situation already located.

Here's the scoop.
Fisher and Adams clashed over VY since he was drafted by Adams. That's important here, Adams ordered the team to draft VY. Fisher wasn't going to return for his last year if he was forced to keep VY.
Fisher had the support of the executives on the team, and Adams then agreed to let VY go. Adams said Fisher would return for the last year of his contract, but that was only because he didn't want to fire him and still have to pay him.
Fisher didn't want to be a lame-duck coach, and knowing that he would be gone after next season, he negotiated a settlement with Adams.
Let's get this straight though, having followed the Oilers since around 1975, I know what most people who follow the team know, Bud Adams is a tight-fisted jackass and a shitty owner.
Oh, and VY will still be released.

Thanks Bluehorse good reading. That makes sense Titans had to make a change, so who can blame asst. coaches for taking other offers, and replacing those coaches for what would probably be one year if that. I think it's a good mutual decision, and yes Fisher will work when he wants to, alot of teams would be interested.

You're out of your tree... As a Titans fan, you should be more pissed that Adams is still owner... keeping a batshit, crazy old man to call the shots. That'll prove successful over the long haul. Fisher's record took a beating a few years back for about 2 seasons where they just dumped about half the payroll to clear the salary cap after they made their super bowl run.
To say he's horrible is a joke. If he wanted it, he could get a coaching job tomorrow. He'll probably take his $8 million dollars this year, do TV for a year, let the CBA settle itself, and then be in high demand next season.

He's a mediocre coach who has accomplished very little in 16 years. He got to the Super Bowl once on a miracle play in the prior playoff rounds, and not much since then.

Awful owners will always find new and exciting ways to ruin good franchises. Now if only the could put that insanity into filling seats they might just be profitable.

Long overdue. The most overrated coach in the league, by far.

Can anyone tell me what they like about Jeff Fisher without mentioning the length of his tenure or how likely he is to be hired elsewhere in the league?
Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.
