Should I hedge with the Pats???
Did a 6.5 point 5 team teaser for this week in the NFL...

    Results thus far...

    Bears +1.5 Win
    Saints -0.5 Win
    Packers -2.5 Win
    Steelers +9.5 Win

Have the Jets +10 tonight for the last pick... $75 bet to win $302...

Any suggestions on if I should hedge... and if so how I should go about doing it...

Thanks for the advice in advance... BRP

Unless you can get real good odds, I would leave it. Pats @-3 in my book is -135....m/l is -205(even worse), so 135 to win 100= 25$ profit for you or leave it and risk your 75$ to get 302$. I dunno I'm smalltime so 25$ aint bad but, f\*\*k it I say LET IT RIDE BABY!!!.

only 2 reasons you should ever hedge

        1. life changing amount of money

        2. theres value on the other side

And I think a weak #3 would be if the last leg of the parlay (like this situation) represents a stake far larger than your "kelly bet" (similar to reason #1, but relaxing the "life-changing amount" constraint a bit).

And to answer to the original poster's question regarding hedging action:

One method is to just stick ~197 on Pats, assuming -4 pts and odds of -110; about $104 take-home guaranteed, with the outside chance of hitting both bets (if pats win by 5-9), or pushing on one (if pats win by 4 or 10).

There are other methods, but this is probably one of the easier ways.
