Yep. I don't know how anyone can go with these terrible QB situations. Not like Carolina is doing anything anyway. Ravens big.

D3 what is your logic? Is it because 81% of the public is on Baltimore? If anything this is a no bet for me. I dont care how much the public is pounding Baltimore I just could not bet Carolina.

Cannot imagine what they do to score points here, unless they keep running plays during halftime and hope scoreboard operator plays along. Ravens D may not be in same class as previous years, but still respectable. Carolina had not been giving up alot of points most of season, but have been lit up for 65 points last two weeks. Ravens offense has underachieved thus far, but lots of weapons for Flacco if he can find them. Ravens coming off brutal loss, but extended rest (after Thursday night game), in dogfight for AFC North with Pitt. Seems to set up nicely for Ravens in that regard.
Rarely do I consider giving double digit points, but hard to comprehend Panthers keeping this competitive. Feels like three touchdown discrepancy here...Ravens 31-10, 24-3, or thereabouts.

Also Ravens has played well on the road, even with a 2-3 record. They have beaten Jets and Steelers away from home, and was so close of winning againts both Atlanta and Patriots.
What can Brian St. Pierre really do against Baltimore?

I've been stung by so many 'out of nowhere' QBs, including the Ryan Fitzpatrick Ram's debut for a win.
I just figured I'd go big on the ML for Baltimore. Skirt play by me. When I do that, I also usually get broke.

Wow, I had to look that up.
Rams 33 Houston 27 OT on 11-27-05
Rams (4-6) were laying 3 1/2 going to Houston (1-10) to face David Carr and lame duck coach Dom Capers.
Tough beat, especially considering it went into OT, but I can't imagine liking Houston in that spot. They were terrible.

This game is feeding well into my formula of betting against terrible teams. Bet against Carolina last week and thank God I did. I will take the Ravens in this one and I will bet big. Everything has already been said. St Pierre, practice squad RB and a banged up O Line for the Panthers. Their D (while respectable) will be on the field ALL day long and in bad situations. I see St Pierre turning the ball over in Carolina territory giving the Ravens easy points. No idea why anyone would take Carolina in this game.

Guys Im a die hard Ravens fan as you can tell, but our only struggles this year were with the WORST teams (ie: loss to bengals and OT will the bills). Best play here is the OVER 37 imo. Whether Carolina shows up or NOT, there will be pts.

This is a very good point. But, I think coming off that tough loss to Atl, you guys will be out for blood. I don't see how Carolina scores much?

Agreed. Guys this is not the same Ravens team. Our secondary is paper thin and our D coordinator is awful. Would not be surprised if Panthers covered

You're right we will be. And last home game for Carolina they lost 34-3 to NO and they will have reason to want to put up more pts at home and I think with us being "out for blood" as you stated that equals the 34 NO put up if not more. I also think of this as the Bills game where there was over 60 pts put up. So either way it goes I think there is some solid value with the # being at only 37 pts......

Ravens are my play of the week. It's a big number to lay, but even if Jimmy were in there are QB, I'd expect a double-digit Ravens win. Unless the Ravens come in lazy, no way BSP and a practice squad-type RB can keep this close.

I guess if one is afraid to lay the full 11 1/2, there's always the teaser option as well as the ML. I did toss them in a teaser just for my standard diversification of variance. But I'll also be looking for props like -21 1/2 +250 when they come out tomorrow.
