Now let me talk a little about Saints & Cowboys.



The Cowboys feature one of the worst secondaries in football. Drew Brees showed last week what he can do against bad secondaries, destroying Seattle's secondary leading the Saints to 4 TDs in the 1st half. Cowboy's secondary is worse.

On the other hand, Saints have one of the best pass defenses, and have played great defense overall. Limiting opponents to just 10points/game the past 3 weeks. Kitna last week was bailed out by his Special teams in a close game against Detroit. He will struggle against this Saints defense, who are solid overall.

The last thing in the world I would ever want to do is give any remotely offered defense to ssk, but knowing the game to the level of coaching the game may be advantageous to some ... But for others, their "gift", or their insight may come completely in mathematics/statistics... Psychology/Motivations ... Line movements/Recognizing Smart money ...

I'm not taking away from the fact that the microscience of handicapping a game isn't beneficial... All I'm saying is that there are successful handicappers out there (And I'm not putting ssk as one of those, and nor will I until he updates his week by week record, and does it consistently for a year).. But I wouldn't say not knowing the starting Offensive Lineman, their replacements, and their schemes and techniques couldn't make you successful in the long run. But again, I'm not saying it wouldn't help.

You're missing the tone of the past 2 threads... he puts 15 minutes a day (week) into this... calls his buddy who may or may not know something about football to run it by him... Then comes on the internet forum and runs this larger than life sports guru persona that obviously causes guys like us to question all his motives, and particularly all his (many) mistakes... You're totally taking the wrong approach with this...

In the end, only SSK will determine how this thread runs... regardless of his past bullsheit... If he picks the next 38 winners until the superbowl, this thread will get more views then Paco ... But do you really think that's gonna happen? let's face it, the thread will run its course like everyone else that puts on a similar ..uh...character?

Now if this is true, he should be able to easily answer the question I posed.
The guy has already said he's not a gambler or handicaper by trade. He's an NFL expert by trade. If he's not an NFL expert, then what exactly is he? The way this unfolding, he appears to be someone who just watches Sportscenter and looks at stats.

So if SSK is lucky enough to win, the question arises; how? He doesn't know much about the actual game of football. He doesn't know much about handicapping. Everyone use your head and you can see the answer

Uhm.. I believe it was "Detroit sucks" ... Get the wording correct... Atl Secondary SUCKS.. the ENTIRE Detroit Team SUCKS! That's all you need to know...

And to add some actual Football relevance and insight... YES... Detroit SUCKS!! I've been a Lions fan for nearly 20 years... Since Barry Sanders in fact... They SUCK Donkey's BALLZ!

But that's not what matters here.. .It's whether or not they can cover the 6.5 on a short week for both sides...

My case is that I think this has all the potential for a backdoor cover down 13 late... Or SOMEHOW.. maybe able to find a close game and catch New England overlooking this game... Remember Schwartz is a disciple of Belechek as well, and there's no question he's been a HUGE factor in the 7 ATS winners this year.. Some of which were even slim margins...

Like I said, I'm an expert at picking "WINNERS". I know the skill of each player. I don't care WHERE they lineup. That is MINOR. I'm not going to overthink things by letting something like "Where they lineup" affect a WHOLE GAME's OUTCOME

This is common sense. Where they lineup is not going to change a W to a L.



My NFL knowledge has gotten me 9-1-1 so far ATS. I'll let the picks do the talking.
