    MNF teaser
    Jaguars +9.5 over 39

    Looks like a good play.

But is more likely the go over 39 under 51?

Doing a teaser on the same game is a bad idea more times then not.

Teasing totals is a bad idea 95% of the time.

Not sure if this is a credible statistic. I like teasing totals, especially taking overs when there are two good offenses w/ mediocre defenses (e.g., Patriots vs. Chargers next week), or taking unders when one team should dominate against a team w/ a bad QB (e.g., Steelers vs. Browns this week).

Teasing an O/U is giving 3 points more or 3 points less to each team (unless you think the game will be extremely lopsided) while teasing a spread is giving the exact points to a certain side (or away from a certain side). I guess off that, it is probably easier to predict (or more profitable) sides rather than O/U teasing. Or, I could be misunderstanding completely and making a fool of myself.

You don't gain enough edge by teasing totals to make up fro the extra juice. If you are having a profitable season teasing totals, then chances are you would be having a better season betting those totals straight.
