Maybe it depends on the draft and FA market. If he dont get help, he may hang it up. No need to go out a big time loser if you dont have anyone to throw to. Or help you on the ground and defense.

i think if the packers take a QB in the draft, he could consider retirement.

After what GM Ted Thompson has been saying... I don't think he will be back in Green Bay, and I can't picture him going somewhere else. But then, I never pictured Montana playing for the Chiefs.

if brett goes elsewhere it will have to be to a contender, or he would retire.

The Packers took a QB in the 1st round last year. It would look pretty bad if they took another one in the 1st round this year. But, I'm not ruling it out.

I think Favre has enough left to come back. But, the Packers are clearly rebuilding. If Thompson does what he did last offseason, the Packers might actually be worst than they were this year. Thompson is basically waiting for Favre to retire before he spends any cap money. The Packers were way under the cap this year. Things will keep going in this direction until Favre retires.

That said, Favre is coming back. They'll have to zip him up in a body bag before he retires.
