Agreed. But it's pathetic how bad ones teams can be. Just like Green Bay last week.

I understand giving up a kickoff return, but blocked FG's and Punts, are just ridiculous.

With that said, luckily I was on NE tonight.

        The 41-14 score is unreal.

I've not seen a more weird game all my life.

right on. But everbody who calls a win 'lucky', winning by being the first team in NFL history scoring a touchdown run and pass, an interception return, kickoff return, and return of a blocked field goal should overthink what he's saying lol

The way to beat Miami is to keep them under 100 yards rushing. They go over, they win; they stay under, they lose (that simple stat is 8-0 ATS in their L8 games). Pats did that. Final score exaggerated, but Phins outcoached.

How did anyone think the dolphins were the right play? The Dolphins beat the bills 15-10....OH BOY. Then beat the viks 14-10 with only 7 offensive point. Even with the anomaly in the Jets game they're now averaging 17.25 points a game, and the Jets game is an anomaly. you had to know the Pate were going to score points in this game. Take out the one Jets game and its down to like 13.3. Come on folks, use your heads.

                And, uh, everything else?
if you knew the gameplan, somewhat like i did, you would know the pats cared nothing about giving up yards and pass plays but banking on henne making mistakes. i have some friends (i live in boston) inside patriots camp that let me in on a change that the patriots were doing on defense....going back to what got them the titles. they always gave up yards but were opportunistic on defense waiting on mistakes from the opposing qb. i won't work on guys like manning or brees but this was the perfect time for them to implement this again. the pats were winning this game without the special teams but it wouldn't have been a blowout.

Basically impossible to cap blocked punts, blocked FG's and kick return TD's. Tough to cap a QB like Henne throwing those picks as well.

I had the Pats, but the idea of the thread is somewhat legit.. if they played the game again next week the line would basically be the same, if not shifting slightly to the Fins.

with hindsight what you said is true but the pats d has been garbage, you give up 30 to the bills? Come on. With that said the Phins were pretty crappy last night. They would have lost to every team in the league with that performance.

Anyone who bet the Over and won.. Congrats. But there is no way that you capped the game and attributed 21+ points to the Pats D/ST!! There just is no way. Regardless, you cashed the ticket and that's what counts. I was on the Under and felt good when it was 7-6 at the half. Oh Well.

By this theory it could be 17-14 Pats....they would have gotten a TD instead of a FG before the half? It is what it is....the Pats pulled the trigger on special teams...happens.
