Go with the Pats. The Ravens are coming off two tough road games, and 10.5 points is too much to lay on a team whose offense is this bad.

I agree with going Patriots. Ravens offense has just been really suspect so far.

How bout you make it a 2-teamer? Balty will open a can on the Browns' terrible D at home and Pats are a 37-10 win. I love both of these teams, even if you need to buy the hook in the Ravens game. Ravens have played 2 tough road games and will get their offense going this week.

Ravens.
Flacco just had the worse game of his career and always rebounds amazingly.
Home Opener for Baltimore and the Browns are just awful.
Pats are going to rape the Bills. I like Ravens pick a lot better but tease the 2 games and you should be golden. Pats will run up the score at home against a Bills team that has no offense and the defense will get torn apart by the Pats.

Go with the pats, the browns defense is actually effective so far. They have 3 turnovers and flacco has been giving the ball up left and right the first two games. Browns are coming off 2 games they know they should have won. They can win tomorrow but a cover is more likely.

i think they rebound, i was just saying between pats and ravens, ravens have more of a challenge. TJ ward is a beast and can be a game changer. But, if the ravens offense doesnt shoot themselves in the foot the D should cover the spread alone.

I'm a Patriots fan but the line has bumped up to 14.5 points with the public heavily leaning there way. I'm taking the Ravens for 1 of my two 1pm games.

Ravens are the play. Dont believe me? Go check the last few years and look at what they do against big spreads at home. i forget the numbers but they have crushed big spreads at home last couple years, add to that coming off 2 tough road games, a pissed off ray ray, and a offense that is dying to start clicking. Sounds like blowout city to me.

Ravens because they actually have defense. Patriots did not defend against the Jets too well.

I like Ravens. As for Pats, I cannot lay 14.5 or 15 because they will go to Miami.

I contribute plenty so far. I gave out two winners yesterday in college and have a few really solid NFL picks today. When Flacco came out I thought he was going to be a top notch QB but he's proven me wrong. That offense has so much talent but they are just peices thrown together. The Browns D has been their strong point this year. Granted we won't score much against the Ravens D, but this game will be closer than people realize. I try not to bet on the teams I'm a fan of (ie: Browns) but the smart money is on them plus the points. There is nothing that I see that should lead to a blowout in this game. The Ravens strengths on offense are the Browns strengths on defense. They'll be some points created off of turnovers and this game will be decided late.
And I don't know what you're talking about with points. What 6 points do I have?

I love how you call him a homer for liking the Ravens and you're not a homer for not liking a pick going against your team.

I disagree. ONE of them will cover. NOT both, but ONE of them. I'm still torn.... Teasing is not the way to go tho....

The Patriots have a better chance against a woeful Buffalo Bills team. The secondary is the only thing that the Bills have that is good. The rest of the team stinks. Any team that has an explosive offense will dismantle the Bills, i.e. Green Bay. The Patriots could cover this by kicking field goals because Buffalo can't put up points.
The Ravens are iffy. Right now the Ravens are turnover prone and they are only averaging a paultry 10 points a game. On the other hand, the Browns aren't as bad as people think. They have a decent defense and an above average run game with Harrison, who is healthy, and Peyton Hills in the red zone. If they play to their strength which is running the ball, they will keep it close. Or they can get blown out if Mangini keeps thinking he can throw with backup QB's.
The safer bet would be NE. I trust Brady, Welker, Moss, and Belicheck way more than I trust Mangini's play calling.

14.5 is a lot of points for the Pats to cover, Brady and company are not playing at their 2007 level

buy the hook in the pats and take the under in the ravens.
