Im not a professional gambler but youll probly see me at the book ever week come nfl season and I think its safe to say I have made most of my money, especially consistently when it comes to teasers.. AGAIN Im not fanning myself or anything but give me a break. considering how much of a brain f**k sports gambling is.. these 3team-10 point teasers have to be the easiest bet out there.. Just my opinion on that subject.. Anyhow my strongest tease this week...

I'm not disputing the first 2, but to suggest that you should NEVER cross 0 is absurd. My reply was based on a 10 point teaser. If I see a soft line and was going to tease it 10 points, I have no problem crossing 0 as long as I'm crossing the critical numbers.

Speaking for myself, I usually keep my teasers to 2 teams (3 max) and stick to 6 points. For me that is the best value. If you need 10 points on your tease, I would recommend to go back and do more homework to find better value, but if you feel better with the extra points and still turn a profit more power to you.

chi +14.5

if you like those sides, teasing through the 3 and 7 is the only way to go (chi went through the 9, 10, 13 and 14). read up on wong teasers for frequency of wins with those nums, etc..

going through the 0, ie -3 to +3 only hurts your payout because the chance of the game ending in a win by less than 3 pts is waaay small to tease the 3 down.. and from 0 to 3, the same applies.. not enough to cover a loss.. you need +3.5 or more, usually..

I disagree because of the simple fact that +/-0.5 don't exist, so you are paying for a 10-point teaser when in essence you are really teasing 9 points.

This conversation is somewhat moot because I don't even play 10 point teasers and the 'rules' you guys are talking about are what I primarily stick to anyways. I'm just saying that it's ridiculous to say one should NEVER cross 0. Once in a while on a strong play is fine. I don't cap all my games according some book like a fundamentalist nut. We all have our own strategies and ways of approaching things. You do what it says on page 43 and I'll do it the way I like it.

I didn't even tease these games 10 points. I teased them 6 and cashed with better value. If I would have listened to you and your little book I would have lost. All 3 of your picks BUF +23, ARI +15.5, and NYG +15.5 were losers too.

Like I said, you play your teasers and I'll play mine. And I'll cross your precious 0 when necessary.
