A Unit should be a set % of your total BankRoll. The % varies depending on who you ask, but it usually ranges from 1%-3%. In Smackdown's answer, he is using 1%. On most of my tail bets, I use 2%. I also use a system for betting Money Lines that only produces a few picks a month. For that system, I bet 3% on favorites, and 2% on dogs.

I've been betting for a while but gave it up a few months back as I lost it all after building it up $100 to $ $1600 over a few weeks mainly focusing on NBA , NCAA basketball. Thank god I found this forum so I can make better decisions b4 betting . I put $100 gt @ +12. Hope that should be enough to get them over the line. I don't know much American sport but love it.
