and then the 2nd coming of Fran Tarkenton...and his main man Chuck Foreman

Saw the best potential Super Bowl team fielded by the Vikings get CHEATED
from the Big Game by the Officials in the infamous Hail Mary game in 1975..

The Vikings are the most snake bite,,double whammied...ill fated, ill destiny,
bad luck driven team in history.....well OK, maybe them and the Bills....

They have sooooooooooooo much garbage in the history of the team that
all new players are subconsciously afflicted with the seed of misfortunate hardship from the very first day of training camp.....

They will NEVER overcome and win the Big Game..

Proof....

The first year Vikings had Randy Moss....The team lost only 1 game
that year....they had Randal Cunningham at QB...Robert Smith at RB
and John Randall at DL and also...Chris Carter...

They scored the Most points scored in the NFL in a season up to
that point...

So What happens..

They have Atlanta with a backup QB come into the Metrodome and beat
them in the NFL Championship Game in OT ....Thank You Dennis Green

And then, of course..there was last year...

Playing the Saints in the NFC Championship and driving for the winning FG
in the final minutes....but your man Farve...throws the ill conceived INT and Minnesota loses in OT again...


The Minnesota Vikings will never get to another SUPER BOWL..much less
win one

I hate Farve but if he comes back they will play once again in the Conference Title (against Dallas). The Vikes will be better as AP will be much better than last year and their defense will still be one of the best in the league. They played with injuries to many key players at LB and the secondary and STILL won 12 games. They outplayed the Saints last year remember. If the Vikes can get through the middle of their schedule injury free with some wins they play 6 average to poor teams down the stretch. I think Green Bay is overvalued, the Saints will slide and that leaves only Dallas to contend with. The Vikings have a legit shot to win it all and did I mention I hate Farve.

just watched a show on the 98 vikes on nfl network.. ill never enjoy a football season as much as that one and ill never ever forget walking out of the dome after they lost the nfc championship game, it still hurts to think about!

this year everything from last year is still in place and ready to go for the most part, favre is another year older now and still not sure i see him playing a full season, but i said that 5 years ago too.. Bring it on!!

If Farve stays injury free they have a good shot and making a run. They 're bringing the same team back from last year so if anything the offense should be a year better. Personally I think Sage Rosenfels could run that team and get them 10 or 11 wins.

If I remember correctly....Dennis Green had Cunningham take a knee
with about 30 secs left to get the game to OT,,,and the Vikings...were
near mid-field...


and how could Robert Smith not pick up that MOST critical 1st down
that would have sealed the victory.....
