What NFL Rule Would You Change?
    My vote --

Allow pass interference calls to be reviewable! These fouls are commonly called after huge strikes down the field, which can really change the complexion of a game. Take the human error out of the game! It is something I think would help the games play out more efficiently and true to form.

I think Offensive PI should be a loss of down. Every PI related call on the Defense is an automatic first down.

      A bunch:

Obviously the whole PI thing needs to be looked at. It's a joke right now.

Also, on passes to the sidelines where its ruled in-bounds should be able to be called force-outs upon review. As is, if the ref thinks the player was in-bounds despite a force out but he ends up being out of bounds, he can't change it to a force out.

Illegal contact when the quarterback is out of the pocket needs to be looked at as well. It's a gray area right now because some officials call it differently from others.

I agree. If the pass is that close to the end line, route should have been more inbounds.

the no call rule on intentional grounding when the quarterback is out of the pocket.. i know this rule is for quarterback safety but i still don't like it. you throw the ball away it's grounding. please no more reviews of anything.

I would let them use steroids. It would lead to a better quality football game, and what do I care if some rich dude shrinks his nuts, beats his old lady, and eventually gets some kind of cancer or something like that.

I'll add a 1/2 point score so I can push some of the bets I lost thru the years!

Maybe if the other team punts 7 times in a game you get 1/2 a point. That will force them to go for 4th down if they know they have to give 1/2 a point for punting too many times.

CAN'T AGREE MORE!!! This is one of the worst rules in the game.

Pass interference is a favorite, too. I think it should just be a 15-yarder (like college).

I'm even tempted to make illegal contact a 5-yard penalty, but -not- an automatic first down.

Roughing the passer has to have a 5-yard variety, and can't all be 15 yarders. Though it does seem to me that we see less "stupid" roughing the passer calls this year.

I also have seen 'helmet-to-helmet' penalties called when the QB puts his helmet in a position to meet the defender's helmet - in other words, the defensive guy does not lower his head or spear, but they call it anyway.

I hate all the "favor the offense" rules.

prefer the nfl to let there be td dances and celebrations, but gamewise i'd agree with poker pirate

                        wow, where to start

No PAT kicks, only two point conversions

Lessen the yardage and automatic first down for a lot of penalties, The only 15 yard penalty in the game should be the most flagrant personal fouls, late hits, intentional roughness, etc. There should be a penalty called something like "inconveniencing the passer", why is it only a 15 yard penalty regardless of whether the passer was jostled a little bit or the definder picked up the passer and did a pile driver?

I do think that some penalties should include taking a player out of the game for a certain period of time or being ejected from the game completely. I think if a player makes a totally egregious hit, say a hit when the other player is completely out of bounds, and the player who is hit is injured or badly shaken up that should be automatic ejection from the game.

Maybe some of these players who like to make personal fouls, late hits, roughing the passer, etc would think twice about it if they knew they were going to sit the game out or sit out a quarter or ten minutes, etc.

Roughing the kicker should only be called where there is actual "roughness", running into the kicker as part of forward momentum should not be roughing the kicker. Make it a 5 yard penalty and let them kick the punt again if the 5 yards did not give you a first down.

Pass interference calls should be modified so that if the ball was totally not catchable anyway it should be a 5 yard penalty from line of scrimmage, if the ball was catchable then it should be spotted at the place the ball would have been caught, but not an automatic first down.

A penalty should give either yardage or a down but not both. No automatic first down penalties. If the yardage gives you a first down, fine. Otherwise it is whatever down it would have been.

I think the separation between the two teams on kickoffs should be lengthened so that onside kicks are an actual possibility, instead of the "miracle" play they are now.

I have a lot more but you can see where I am going.

Gotta change overtime in the NFL....close game should not be decided by a coin flip. I say either go to college rules or atleast give each team one possesion in overtime. I also think they gotta stop protecting the QB as much as they do. This is football, your supposed to get hit.

I like the both teams get the ball in OT. Plus PI should be changed to 15 yards.
