If Purdy was drafted in the 2nd round from Alabama would he be the MVP favorite?

Purdy has better surrounding talent but Philly is up at the top too. Purdy was the last draft pick from Iowa St.

    Hurts

    34.5 yds/game rushing
    3.5 yds/attempt rushing
    Surrounding talent
WR - Brown 3rd leading receiver
    WR- Smith 29th receiving yds
RB - Swift 3rd leading rusher

Hurts was bailed out Sunday. He took a bad sack. That FG shouldn't have been from 59 yds. 2 missed FGs by Buf and a dropped TD changed the whole narrative of the game. Hurts got the winning drive in OT and now he's the favorite for MVP. Purdy's MVP chances are slim. The media's not voting for the last draft pick from IA St.

hurts is like 26-3 these last 2 seasons, including the playoffs. purdy lost 3 in a row this year to the browns, vikings and bengals. kudos to the niners for blasting the cowgirls and jags. but the eagles also beat the girls.. and the chiefs, bills and dolphins. a win is a win.

if purdy was the eagles QB, no way they are 10-1. if hurts was the niners QB, they'd be better than 8-3.

You make great points although throw out last year. Purdy was 5-0 last year and played as well as Hurts. Purdy 13-3 career. Hurts gets a ton of help offensively. Even on the OL when Kelce once called off Hurts when he tried to change the play. Purdy and Hurts go at it head to head next week which will be fun to watch. Philly will get the #1 seed since it looks like 3 losses at most with Giants twice, Ari and Sea left.

Just looked at last year playoffs. Eagles won 31-7 but Purdy was hurt after 4 passes. Hurts was 15/25 for 121 yds, 0 TDs, 0 ints. 11/39 rushing 1 TD. Eagles ran for 148 yds.

Lol what a lazy argument. Rookie qb takes his team to the NFCC and gets hurt so by default the other qb got in yet we can't give Purdy credit until he reaches the SB even though it's impossible for him to have achieved that already. Did Hurts get to the SB in his first year? Better yet, did he win it? Righttttt

Totally different team when they don't have Trent Williams and Deebo, who were both missing for those 3 games.

Kicker lost the game to the Browns and losing to a helathy Burrow led Bengals is nothing shameful. Vikings game was kind of ugly but they have performed well somehow this year.

That being said, Eagles lost to the Jets, the Jets.....Zach penetrating Wilson....

no, your offense lost the game because you could not get into the EZ

blame your O not the kicker who was dealing with crazy wind.

you should have run the ball down Browns throat.

    MVP

    Hurts +125
    Mahomes +350
    Jackson +400
    Tua +800
    Dak +1000
    Purdy +1700

Purdy would be at or near the top if he were a first or second round draft choice.

and last year Garapollo was 7-3 while Purdy 5-0.

no. he has mccaffrey kittle and a good but not great oline. that helps any quarterback

the only guy i've ever seen succeed without an offensive line and receivers is peyton manning.

the niners defense is giving up a league low 15.5 per game. when you have that and mccaffrey in the backfield, you're going to win a lot of games, regardless of who's behind the center.

we're talking about MVP though. the eagles defense is giving up 22.4 per game, a full TD difference. they play in a stronger division and have 2 more wins. hurts is way more valuable to the eagles than purdy is to the niners.

100% he would be sir. SF beats Hurts this week his Odds won't be nearly as high. So if you are thinking of throwing some beer money on him I do it now.

Eagles are going to have to play SF then Dallas both having extra rest in both games. Eagles are my team but a wake up call is coming. Hurts at +125 i wouldn't bet with your money. He is def better than Purdy. Eagles are on TV every week which works for Hurts but can also work against him in the end. Hurts not only has to beat the other teams defense he has to overcome his defense every week.

Philly held both Mia and KC to 17 points. Philly may have the best OL in the league. Philly is more than Hurts.

Mahomes was 23/43 for 177 yds.
    Tua 23/32 for 216 yds.

Same should be said if Hurts were on SF. Hurts winning the MVP will be the same as Cam Newton. He wasn't the best QB in the league. I don't think a lot of people have watched Purdy. I did bet CMC to be the MVP since his play is so much better than other RBs. Also bet Tyreek Hill.

Purdy isn't deserving of MVP but if he were the number 1 draft choice from Alabama, he would be MVP. Even if he were a second rounder, he would be MVP. The stats are too good to ignore. No one takes the last pick seriously early in his career. That's why I started the thread.

jimmy g and purdy had extremely similar stats last season. he's just not THAT valuable to the niners to be a MVP.

with that said though, san fran better win on sunday with all the shit talking and crying they did after getting bounced last year. they have a few extra days off and had it fairly easy these last 2 weeks while the eagles had to battle KC and buffalo in the rain. if they lose sunday, they need to shut the fuk up and not cry like little bitches again.

You make a valid argument here. Hurts is the better QB when you factor mobility and what that brings to the table for Philly. The kid has show a ton of poise in the pocket , regardless of all the talent around him. I'm going say Hurts is my choice too , but the kid isn't far behind and the season has plenty to play for yet

Notice how you kept out the 2 Washington games and the Bills? LOL Eagles Defense is bottom tier this year ranked 19. Also if anyone cares 49ers defense is ranked 5th overall. Against the Pass 49ers r as bad as the Eagles they both suck!!!Stay tuned.

SF #1 in defense points allowed at 15.5. They added Chase Young. Looks like Armstead is playing.....Respect for disagreeing before the game. Hate the past posters.
