    What are the Browns Thinking?
Not for sure what Mike Holmgren is thinking really. He goes and signs Jake Dehlomme a QB who struggled with a team that has two of the leagues top receivers and one of the best running back tandems in the league. And he's going to come to Cleveland a team that is clearly rebuilding, does he really think he's going to be successfull HE'S CRAZY. Then they trade Brady Quinn a player that really has not been given a fair chance or amount of time to prove what he can do. Unless he's planning on drafting Bradford, McCoy or Pike then why start your regime my getting rid of a young quarterback that hasn't really got a fair chance. Look I'm not a Browns fan but Mike Holmgren what are you doing?

exactly what you said, Delhomme and Wallace are stop gap measures, not intended to last very long.

Both Quinn and Anderson were young and clearly had to go cuz that team was going nowhere with both

They might not draft a qb with their first pick, but they'll definitely have to draft one

Holmgren knows what he's doing with qb's so maybe he'll move up in the draft and grab one, who knows.

Browns must be looking at QB in the 1st round of the draft.

I think Delhomme would be a good mentor for the next QB.

I wouldn't be surprised if Holmgren has his eye on Tebow. Delhomme as mentor sounds right.

Tebow is a proven winner, and will work his ass off to get it right. What he did so far worked in college, so there was no need to change it. People make it sound like it's nearly impossible to shorten the throwing motion. But why would it be? It just takes some focus and hard work.

What has Matt Leinart done in the pros? Nothing. Why? Knows how to win, but bad work ethic.
What has Brady Quinn done in the pros? Nothing. Why? Works hard, but never won anything.

Tebow knows how to win and there is nobody with a better work ethic. The whole idea that rookie QB's are worth more if they're immediately ready to play in the NFL is absurd to me anyway. There's always going to be a learning curve.

I was thinking the same thing. Holmgren worked with a left handed quarterback in San Fran who was a great, not just good athlete, who needed a little work. Tebow is a left handed quarterback who is a great athlete who needs a little work.

Browns aren't going anywhere fast so some risky moves are not a bad practice at this time, IMO.

Browns have 6 picks in the 1st 3 rounds... they will get a QB that Holmgren likes and groom him for a couple of years

When we (all of us) discuss NFL quarterbacks as being bad or even pathetic, I always remind myself and/or others that we only have 32 teams in the NFL. Every team doesn't have a QB that we feel is good. But, With that said, though, it is a tremendous feat for a player at the position to be on a roster let alone a starter in the league. Brett Favre, Peyton Manning and Dan Marino are often slandered a great deal for their shortcomings on the field.

Of the billions of people on Earth, ONLY very few men are "Great" quarterbacks now or in the past. I do not really think any of them are 'Bad' because of this fact. I find that 'amazing'.

And I agree Quinn didn't get a fair shake, but you can tell by looking at him in his limited time that he is not a QB to build a team around IMO

I loved Quinn at Notre Dame but he was overmatched playing with the browns, he will be pretty good if he is surrounded by great players, so his transition to Denver should help but don't expect miracles out of him. Browns made the right call.

The Browns did the right thing in opening up space at the QB position so they can bring in a winner. Quinn is too robotic and don't seem to have the natural QB gift.

Solid question. He was on my Fantasy roster during that season and did soooo well. I expected him to be a real good QB in the future.

Quinn will be mediocre at best. He is not a winner. If Cleveland decides to take Tebow, it will be in the 2nd round. No one is going to waste a #1 on him. He may be a winner in college, but he sorely lacks the tools for the NFL. I would take other QB's before Tebow.

agree 100% very few truly great QB's on Earth. All that make it to the NFL have talent.

sometimes a change of scenery can make all the difference.

Is Jason Campbell the Redskins QB, really that bad? Or it is that he has a real poor offensive line and cast in general? Would be one of the better ones if he played in New England the last 5 years?

As someone who follows the Seahawks closely I can say in the NW and someone on the national scene he was known as a terrible GM and a great coach. Only when Seattle stripped him of his GM duties and made him focus on coaching did they start to really become good and won the NFC west many years in a row, made the playoffs a ton, and participated in a rigged superbowl (whoops did I say that)

The Seahawks made not one iota of an attempt to get him to comeback to Seattle after his little vacation because of this fact. Just google Holmgrem's draft picks for Seattle. Even being an avid NFL fan I don't recognize 3/4 of the names and Alexander was his only quality pick but he also just ran behind Hutchinson and tanked after a few years anyway.

                                                  Just food for thought.

Holmgren has for the most part been a loser on and off the field his whole life dating back to 8th grade

Quinn and Anderson have both been psychologically screwed up by their experience in Cleveland and I'm confident neither could ever be a winner... as long as they were still Browns. Browns fans are making us Philly guys look good! They'll both be fine with a fresh start (at least Anderson will for sure).

Delhomme also is a decent QB who needed a fresh start. Even if it doesn't work out, like it's been mentioned here eight times the Browns will probably pick up a "QB of the future" in the draft.
Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.

brady quinn was not the problem and jake del-hommie definitely isnt the solution.

                                                            Tebow seems worst than Quinn.

Delhomme and Tebow could fight for the starting job. If Tebow is actually on this team.
