I disagree on passing game JJ.

Favre and Romo are equal and their WRs are equal as well. I give QB overall better to Minny w/ experience of Favre, but as far as WRs, I give edge to Dallas, they are faster and better, also Jason Witten is a beast of a TE

since wade phillips has taken over the defense the cowboys have shutout two division rivals, beaten then undefeated saints at home, and now have a pass rush to keep favre under pressure all day. the ole goat's arm is worn out by the end of the season and will throw multiple ints. tony romo on the other hand doesnt have jessica simpson distracting him and seams totally focused on burying past demons. cowboys have a rushing attack built on power and speed fronted by a monster line and minny's defense doesnt scare me as much with ej henderson gone. cowboys +3 and under 46

if you like minny at -2.5, but love dallas at +3.5, then i don't see why you should be betting on the game. I don't think there's great value when you think the spread is off by just half a point. I love dallas at +2.5, but i think they win by 10, which is a huge difference.

And second of all, i think you're reading way too much into some stats that won't mean much. For example, the stat they are 2nd in stopping the rush. Well they played: The bears twice and matt forte has been terrible at running the ball for most of the year; the lions twice (once i think they were without kevin smith), the packers twice early in the season (when their ol was playing terrible, they played the cardinals who don't run much, the seahawks who have julius jones, and the giants who have been awful running the ball for most of the year. In many of their games they got up early and the opposing team abondoned the rush. And finally they haven't been doing well against the rush (with the exception of the giants game) ever since ej henderson was injured for the rest of the year a few weeks before the season is over.

if you think dallas will win by 10, then you should take dallas ml. That just isnt how i pick games. I try and look at all the trends and matchups. Then i decide at what price i like each team. My gut tells me dallas has a good chance to win this game but i dont make picks by my gut. So the reason i would take dallas at +3.5 and not at +2.5 is because i think there is a good possibility that this game ends on a last second fg or could even go to overtime. If that does end up being the case, then there is a big difference between +2.5 and +3.5. The difference being that at +2.5 you should have just gone with the moneyline and at +3.5 your chances increase greatly. I think the points you made about minnesota were very informative, i just wish you had given me the numbers to back them up. The only reason i put stats in my write ups is so people can see that im not just giving an opinion. Because opinions will put you in the poor house.

You make a valid point although when comparing Ds between the two, you cant forget to leave out Dallas's stats also playing against quite a bit of non winning/struggling teams..

Yeah, but I wasn't using Dallas's stats to support the idea that they have a good defense. I was just saying it was meaningless to use the stat that Minnesota was 2nd in rush D for the season to assume that they will do well against the Cowboys. Dallas is playing better ball on defense now that they are healthy and with the Vikings EJ Henderson is out, and Winfield has a foot injury.

This game is a pretty tough one to figure. They were talking about this game on ESPN radio and it even has some of those guys confused on this also. Minnesota has Henderson out for the season and that really hurts their run defense. I am thinking that Dallas can't stop the run either because that is how the Giants beat them both times is Jacobs ran for big yardage against them and that is part of how the Chargers beat them also is by running the ball against them. If Peterson has a good day the Vikings will win this game. It just depends on how Peterson does in my eyes in this game.

Brinkley is actually a pretty good run stopper. He can't defend the pass for jack though.
