    Let the Coaching Merry-go-round Begin
It is that time of the year, so here we go:

    Buffalo. Fires it ENTIRE staff.
    Washington. Fires Jim Zorn.
Who is next? Lovie in Chicago? Morris in Tampa Bay? Do the Rams fire a first year HC, even though he won only 1 game, that being against a 2 win team? What about Kubiak, who just can not get Houston over the hump? Will Mangini be fired because of the front office change? Waht about Fox in Carolina, who has been to 1 playoff game in 4 years?

Mangini will be next. Change in management will demand a top down "house cleaning", despite the finish.

Lovie and Kubiak are safe, they finished strong under tough circumstances. Houston's win gave Kubiak a stay of execution.

Rams can't fire Spags, there was zero talent on that team. Not even Lombardi could have done much with that team.

Similar with Morris, what do they expect from a first year coach on a rebuilding team?

Fox in Carolina is an interesting situation. Like Kubiak, he only has one year left on contract. But he also finished strong.

The only other one is Oakland. Tom Cable fired a shot at Al Davis about how they'd be better without Russell, expect sparks there.

It might be a light offseason for coaching changes. All of the "usual suspects" finished out the season very strong.

I think Lovie is safe for now. The owners of the Bears have a really tight budget, firing him just isn't in it since they'd be responsible for the rest of his contract. Changes do need to be made though, Bears did not play well minus their win over the Steelers early on in the year.

Eric Mangini - might be given one more year since they did end year well
Jim Schwartz - Lions have good young talent on offense, need to improve defense. Not fired this year
Steve Spagnuolo - Wasn't a promising year for the Rams so he will not be fired. I am sure the Giants would want him fired to get him back.
Tom Cable - With Al Davis running the show head coaches are always on the hot seat.
Jim Zorn - This guy was practically fired 3 months ago.
Lovie Smith - After getting Cutler they thought things would get better. He will be fired possibly.
John Fox - He will be given one more year
Raheem Morris - Team did much better with Freeman at QB. He will not be fired.

False alarm. Sounds like they are dropping the axe on the DC to take the fall.
