    Steelers (-6.5) vs Chargers
Steelers are in desperation mode as the defending champs will not fall 1-3.

    1) Steelers are a home team. 5-1 ATS last 6 games at home. 4-1 ATS last 5 games at home versus the Chargers and won all 5 SU.

    2) Steelers mainly dominated the Bengals, but mental mistakes costs them the game. Coach Tomlin will be hard on his team and will be more motivated to win.

    3) Chargers: LT will be out and Sproles/Bennett has only been averaging 2.3 yrds per carry. Merriman is suffering from Groin injury and could possibly sit out. If not, then he isn't 100% healthy.

    4) Chargers: No running game, Rivers will be forced to throw. Steelers will control the clock and wear Chargers down.

Why is the line at -6.5 and not higher?

    1) Chargers are a favorite betting team amongst the betting public.

    2) Steelers are coming off of back-2-back losses. Chargers are (2-1), but they beat the Raiders and Penningtonless Dolphins.

    3) Chargers has bye week coming up.

I'm getting in early as -6.5 will be the lowest as it can get before it might possibly go up to -7. This is the strongest play I see for the week.

Steelers: can't run worth a damn, having receivers benched for not being able to make a catch, have an Offensive line who can't protect their QB at all.

Chargers: A backup RB who is 100 times better than the entire Steelers RB core, Vincent Jackson having an amazing year, have a QB who is consistantly throwing lasers and making 1st downs...

Chargers are going to win this one easy.

Ben was only sacked one time by the Bengals. Chargers only recorded one sack against the Dolphins. The receiver benched was garbage, Holmes and Heins are still there. Parker ran for more yards than Sproles last game.

I will concede Parker had a good game this week. but pound for pound I think sproles as a backup is better than parker as a starter

I can't bet Chargers here unless I get at least 7.5 at -110 or less (no interest in buying up).

Steelers are in desperation mode and San Diego still has a lot of injuries.

If you've seen the Steelers play this year, you'd realize this is nothing but wishful thinking. You could put a high school JV team out there and the Steelers would struggle to run.

This is one thing I hate about Mike Tomlin. He's taken the team's we're-going-to-run-it-down-your-throat-until-you-stop-us philosophy and thrown it out the window.

I think it's a game to stay away from. Steelers couldn't hold a large margin lead if their lives depended on it. Every game they start to pull away and then in the second half the opposition comes back. I hope they blow em out and the Steelers cover, but I don't bet on my team because they not very trustworthy ATS.

I really do not like Mike Tomlin. I think he has a SB ring because he was handed a team full of talent. I don't credit him for shit. The worst move the Steelers made was hiring him as head coach over Ken Whisenhunt. I also don't understand how we invest over $100 million into our QB and nothing into our O-line...

                      Chargers +6.5

The line gives the Steelers too much respect. This game will likely be decided by a field goal. The Chargers might pull the upset on the road if they can avoid turnovers.

Troy Polamalu's absence due to injury is a huge blow to the Steelers' D. Rivers will focus on throwing the ball to Sproles (out of the backfield), Gates, and Vincent Jackson. Gates should have an 85+ yard performance and get his first TD of the season.

Pittsburgh is ineffective at running the football and this will put the game on Ben's shoulders. Spotty pass-protection will continue to hamper their overall efficiency on offense. If Ben can throw for over 300 yards the Steelers may squeak out a three point win.

I'm waiting till it hits 7 or above.

Took chargers at 6 1/2. Steelers are struggling badly and I'm betting on that trend continuing.

Take the chargers and buy 1 point to make it 7 1/2. Can't go wrong, Squealers D is missing Palamalu, that hurts them BIG TIME!! Looks like LT is going to be able to play now, and that will give the bolts the red zone help they need.

disagree with everything you said. I don't think you have watched these two teams play. Did you know S. Holmes is hurt and T. Palomalu is out
