The nfl expects it's best corporate interests to be maintained by it's employee's. Just like the nba come playoff time it's understood that refs need to error on the side of whats best for the league. In this case it's the pat's, by a mile it's the pat's - I expected to see some BS, and so did the titans - which is exactly what we got.
Anyone who thinks the titans were getting calls is a troll, an idiot, or a narc. The refs sway the game in whatever slight ways they can, generally this happens early in the game, especially in the nfl - this is what happened with the nba scandal and tim donaghy - he wasn't making in game adjustments, he was giving inside information on the other ref's biases against certian players and more importantly to us inside information that was coming down from the league office as to which side the calls should go if possible. That horrible call the titans got hit with on the pat's punt in the second changed the course of the game, was late, and was probably wrong - that is how an official can push a game in one direction and still maintain plausible deniability. The flags in the first half were what? 8 to 2 going the pat's way - and was almost twice the number of flags the titans averaged in a game this season at the half. Brady had all the time to throw the ball he wanted all game long, but the pat's o line didn't catch one flag? on the other side the titans get hit with an illegal motion call because someone in the backfield goes into motion legally? this is an accident a professional official just happens to make by chance?
However the titans knew this was the deal going in, they knew they were playing against the nfl's interest's, they also lost their starting tackle. Over-all they played so poorly it was hard to watch, and that's on them.
The point is this, the nfl is a business, on every front, so bet like you understand it's a business. It's ok to get pssd off, but not to be in denial, not if your going to put real money down. if this forum is to help the less experienced of us understand how not to lose their money then why in the hell are you guy's being dishonest about this?

As someone that played division 1 college football, calls like those 2 bogus calls in the first half can absolutely ruin a team's determination and mentality in the game. We're human. We're all subconsciously attracted to negative vibes. Those 2 calls resulted in 2 Pats touchdowns. Would the Titans have won? Probably not. But it should have been, at worst, a tie game going in to the half. And a completely different second halfComment
