    Forget it.

the image of the league will take an even worse hit than it already has..

Aaron Hernandez, Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson...and DeflateGate!?

if a team CHEATED. and then WON it all!? NO WAY.

this story would go on ALL SPRING... ALL SUMMER... ALL NEXT YEAR..
    it will NEVER END>

the fans of Patriot road games will be ravenous.. vitriolic!
Pat players won't even be SAFE to travel!

the only way to make it go away.. is for the Seahawks to win.

Basically, Roger Goodel, has to choose between himself or Belichik.

I wonder if Belichik has serious dirt on Roger. (WOuldn't be surprised if he did)

kind of convenient the way he destroyed ALL the evidence in Spygate

there is only ONE WAY this can play out and go away for Goodel.

He is a survivalist after all.

You're a moron. I'm not one to attack or make fun of other posters, but dude you need to get a clue and get a life. The NFL will have record ratings in the Super Bowl after this "controversy" and that's what matters.

Truthfully its about Kraft and how much reach he has...which is quite long. But the way things are panning out, it would appear it is out of Godell's hands...the other owners have snitched on Kraft and his illegal operation...Godell answers to all of them.....

              FOOL. ahhh yes..
another PUDDLE-DEEP mind with quite limited observation
and zero cognition to evaluate beyond the very next step.

"do not touch that first domino
if you can only predict that the next one will fall."

i never said anything about poor ratings.

you can be certain of record ratings. RATINGS will be through the ROOF!

what i am talking about is IMAGE.

Goodel certainly CARES DEEPLY about that.

because the NFL's IMAGE when he steps down will become HIS LEGACY.

this is not all just DOLLARS. Everybody wants a profit, of course.
but people to not want to be spoken of as people are speaking the Patriots right now.
Wherever Belichik goes from not on, he will be either scorned, or the elephant in the room/

the ONLY placed Belichik will be lauded, or well received is either in Boston, or a Patriot enclave.
everywhere else will be open scorn or silence.

GOODEL does NOT WANT the SAME FATE as BELICHIK

For him to avoid that same fate, he must eliminate Belichik.

              If found guilty, Belichik out.

              If found INNOCENT, Belichik OUT.

Belichik to step down after Superbowl, citing health concerns
or Kraft wants new direction, to salvage/rebuild team brand.. etc..
(maybe heart trouble, exhaustion, some obvious lame excuse)

I do agree that there would be more controversy if Patriots win. Kurt Warner comes out and questions if they were possibly cheated out back then too. Lots of build up and wasteland news. The media loves it and it keeps people distracted from the "real world".

NFL already taking Pats weapons away.. and these a gimmicks that the Pats rely on..

without all those late-announcements, Pats do not beat Ravens/

Precisely.....a controversy that the league simply does not need right now....Pats get no breaks in this game...it is the same reason why the Dez Bryant catch was taken away...Refs will overcompensate and probably screw them over in the process...
