Reports are Dallas Cowboys to Hire Scott Linehan to Call Plays
If this happens, Linehan is likely to install the same pass-happy system he had with the Lions, meaning more attempts for Romo and quite possibly fewer carries for Murray. It would also mean a demotion for current offensive coordinator Bill Callahan. Head Coach Jason Garrett called the plays last season, but apparently Jerry Jones was not happy about that.

    It means Dallas finishes 8-8

Romo too much of a risk taker to pass all the time

Romo is overrated and all but 8-8 is underestimating.

Dallas was 8-8 last year, would this make them better? I just don't know.

The offense wasn't really the problem, was it? Maybe it's a move to take some of the work load off Garrett.

Stafford regressed because his mechanics were not addressed or Stafford would not listen. Matt might be thinking that "Hey I passed for 5k in yards so do not fix what is not broken." \

Linehan would be a good hire because Romo is not going to listen to him either in tweeks or other form suggestions. He brings a better offensive philosophy to a team that needs it. It is a minor upgrade that will probably net them to the ten victory mark.

Jason Garrett needs to go. How much mediocrity can Cowboy fans take?

The gave up the 2nd most yards in NFL history.

And you guys think the offense was the problem?

In the 53 years of Dallas Cowboy football they never gave up more than 600 yards-- Until this year, when they did it twice.

Yeah, ummm-- Offense isn't the problem.

Seriously. He has an offensive coordinator AND someone else to call the plays, but they still haven't found anyone to brush his teeth for him!!! Get it done Jerry!!

If they acquire another weapon as Miles Austin is washed up...they can be dangerous.
They do have a top 3 raw talent at reciever. A very brutal running back.....and an improving offensive line. Offensive success will rely on play calling and decision making.
But they need to stay healthy.
Lee, Ware, Claybourne, etc they have some talent on both sides of the ball
Will they ever put it together (or that division, in general)

The day Jerry fired Jimmy destroyed the Cowboys. They haven't been the same since and probably won't be until Jerry kicks the bucket.

Dallas is in the same position as the raiders were with Al. Just going to have to wait until father time does his thing.

Dallas need to go D heavy in the draft. They need help everywhere so D-BPA the entire way unless there's a good OL that falls in their lap along the way.
