The Broncos’ secondary was getting worked once again last week, as Ryan Fitzpatrick ended up having a decent day at the office. There clearly aren’t any issues with the offense, but the defense has had some issues to say the least. Don’t get me wrong, Denver can still win a Super Bowl with this modus operandi. I mean look at the Packers when they won the Super Bowl, their defense was non-existent there. The NFL has changed and teams can now get by with a soft defense, but an elite offense. Even the Ravens who won it all last season didn’t have a typical Ravens like defense but still emerged victorious in the end. After an okay win over the Chargers in their last meeting, a game in which the Broncos scored only 28 points, I like them to open things up here at home. Both quarterbacks have had the opportunity to see each other’s defenses once, so I think we’ll see some more scoring this time around. Taking the OVER is never a terrible bet in Denver games, and that’s what I will be doing for Thursday night

    OVER 56.5(-110)

word of advice. do not bet totals in the nfl that are as high as it was tonight, especially outdoors in the winter and in a divisional, meaningful game. i dont know the figures but i would be willing to bet it is a losing proposition over any given sample size.

Depends how many of those stipulations u putting on it? Totals that high in general have been just fine to play over. I've played a ton of den over lined in about the same area as I capped a bunch of them in the mid 60s.. Certainly would think div gms would make it much less likely to go over, cold/weather I don't factor much unless there wind.. This was 1st den total all year I made lower than their number and not like they havnt been inflated..

divisional games like this tend to go under, at this line of 57 no way you over. they could score 100, but you cannot bet the over. peyton manning is not right and he doesn't do well in the cold. no wes welker either. this total was a big overreaction to last weeks games plus its on primetime. totals in the nfl this in general do not go over, history will show you this...plus this late in the season where is this game matters to BOTH teams. just my opinion.

I agree with the divisional aspect. Hell I doubt u can even find many div gms lined that high. Prob a few saints/falcons few years back but not much more. Like I said this was 1st den total all year I thought they finally overshot, would have thought they would catch up sooner but this 1st den under I bet all year as chargers do a great job playing keep away..

ya i remember the days of those totals, typically indoors only when you would see lines this high. i didn't bet this one under but would have...just not going to do so with these offenses and these defenses...could not pull the trigger.

It wasn't easy. Basically spent the day convincing myself. In the end decided to trust my number which was 52 so played under and held my breath..
