    Teasing Cinci Pitt
What do you guys think the best option is here? I think Pitt -5 is better than Cinci +17, I see a higher potential for a blowout than a close game. As for the points, I'm torn between over 28.5 or under 40.5, at the moment I'm thinking the total probably winds up between those two so it won't matter. Whats looking good to everyone else?

haha you have me curious. i can't wait to see where this goes...

tease: to irritate or provoke with persistent petty distractions, trifling raillery, or other annoyance, often in sport.

                  Don't like game at all!

Thanks for the update at PFP, but I think just staying away completely is the way I'm going. Do not like to tease or parley. I always thought that previous yards gained/allowed ratio should be a big factor toward a team winning/losing in weeks to follow.

Even though you can't get in somebody's head, reading daily team news and trying to a feel of their mental state seems to me why you see so many upsets. My example would be Ravens still confident and seem ready and the Eagles lots of potential but unsure of themselves. I'll find out Sunday?
Can't wait for your selections this weekend.

If you think Pittsburgh will possibly win big then just play them.

                    I see a 30-3 game here

I took the teaser of Pitt -4 and the over 27.5. Pittsburgh might be able to cover the over with just them scoring. Bung-holes have injuries a-plenty for tonight. They might have to use the practice squad for their O-line tonight.

Kroyrunner - thanks for the heads up on the teaser idea. What does your program show with Pitt -4 and the over 27.5 scenario?

                        GL to everyone this evening!

Pittsburgh has been pretty consistent averaging 24 points per win and 24 points per home win. The Bengals score more when they lose on the road as opposed to when they just lose.

                            I figure I'll give the Steelers 27 points +/- 3, and the Bengals 13 points +/- 3.

                            My teaser:

                            Pitt-5 / Over 29.5
                            --------------------

Something that caught my eye is halftime points for these teams. When Pittsburgh wins, the average H/T score is 11-7 Pittsburgh. When Cincy loses, the average H/T score is 12-8 opposing team.

                            I will probably play:
                            Cincy +7
                            Cincy Over 3.5
                            Over 17

I like that teaser, its exactly what I did too

I think pit can score 3 TD easily and cincy should at least get one here

                              so hit it big

My program likes it to go over 27.5, but it loves it to go under 41.5, Pitt -4 is also a very strong play from it. its a confusing game to figure out, it could be 20-3 Pitt or it could be something like 38-10. i'm going to trust my program though and i'll go with the under 41.5 play. if you want to, you could do two teasers, one with the under and one with the over. that way at worst you basically break even (assuming Pitt covers, which i think is a very safe assumption considering Ocho Stinko is out now). Also, the total could easily land between these two numbers in which case you win both. I'm personally doing the under, but you guys do whatever you're comfortable with. Good luck!
