Put $100 on Chargers -1 and hope they win by 2-7 points and you win both bets while also hedging in case Chargers win by 8+ then you still win $50 if they do.

The only hedge it makes sense to take in my book is to put $22 on Chargers -7.5 @ +225. Payout is $49.50. That hedges your loss potential to 0. If you put $50 on it, it pays $112.50. Personally, I don't think it's that likely, so I wouldn't put any more than $50 max. If you put $50 on it, then:

Denver wins or loses by up to 7: You risked $99 total and won $371.09
Denver loses by 8+: You risked $99 total and won $112.50

Either way, you're covered, and you're earning anywhere from +113 to +371

You always lose money hedging like that. It's irrelevant if the play hits or not. You lose money because you should not have made the bet in the first place. Now instead you pay the juice two times if you hedge.

Minimize ur risk, and at the same time, u can have a nice payday if parlay hits.
