    Oakland @ Atlanta Week 6
Oakland, in their 4 games have scored only 6 TD's (5 passing, 1 rushing)
Atlanta, in their 5 games have scored 17 TD's (13 passing, 4 rushing)

Oakland is traveling across country with one of the worst D's in the league to face Atlanta's average D.

Atlanta, at home in this scenario, is good for 3 TD's and 2 FG's (Minimum) = 27
    Oakland, is good for 2 TD's and 2 FG's (Maximum) = 20

Considering the long trip for Oakland, Atlanta's home-field advantage and momentum, Atlanta is likely to score at least 1 more TD or FG.

    Oakland - 20 (Maximum)
    Atlanta - 30 (Minimum)

    Atlanta -9

As a Raider fan I cannot make an argument here. Our offense has been a huge disaster and we have no balance like last season when we were among league leaders in rushing. Carson is doing a fine job but we have had injuries at receiver yet he still throws 40/45 times a game. Palmer is at his best though when he has balance and we just use DMC as a pass catcher more than runner. Raiders also have a problem in recent years swapping td's for fg's which does not add up. They get a decent drive together and most of the time stall around 34/38 yard line so Jano can come in and boot his 2 obligatory 50+ yard fg's per game. And our defense is a whole other nightmare front to back. Like last year our secondary is still swiss cheese and unlike last year our front line cannot pressure or get to the Q.B. I swear you could put 2 flags on the motherfukker and play grab a flag and we would be lucky to get 1 sack a game. Almost anytime we cross the Mississippi river it spells DOOM! Falcons gonna lay 30 at the least on us and it's gonna be 500 yards of total offense or damn close for the dirty birds.

I do not think Oakland has a CHANCE to score close to 20 pts in this game. Barely managed to score against a weaker than expected Broncos D and now they face the dirty birds in ATL. Love atlanta here even if the spread was -10, but leaning on the under as well. I know ATL will score their 30-35 but I do not see Carson Palmer & CO moving the ball at all.

Don't like giving up those points on any team in the NFL and Atlanta took a step down for me after their fortunate win Vs. the Panthers a few weeks ago. They also struggled Vs. Washington last week and their running game hasn't done much - Ryan throwing more than you'd want. But Oakland has Palmer and their running game has taken a step back this year, so far. Does their bye week offset the long road trip? I guess that depends on the coaching, player focus and health status, something I don't have a read on. Theoretically, Palmer and Co. should start to get on the same page with the west coast offense but I don't know. Anyway, once I began to over-think it, not feeling as great about it as earlier in the week but I have Atlanta -2.5 as part of a two-team teaser with Denver +8 Vs. the Chargers (Norv Turner will keep this close if not outright lose it.)

                  he means home games.

carolina played really well , & denver was a backdoor.

I don't think we have to worry about the raiders... thery are shit.

the 10 AM western time in their heads @ kickoff hasnt been mentioned in this thread yet so there that is as well.

Early byes dont do dick for teams like Oakland.

Whenever Oakland goes east they get raped they have some retarted 2 - 11ish record on the east coast im too lazy to verify it but you can do back and do the math.

my reasoning for taking Atlanta has no parallels to last night's game what so ever.

This game and the ats upsets we have seen recently (KC, Jets, Titans) are nothing alike those were home squads for starters and in 2 of those 3 cases the fave was a poor road team. This game has the probability of looking more like Bills at Niners than the aforementioned a.t.s upsets. If you don't wanna lay the pts. with Falcons I understand but I would not endorse trying to be a "sharp" guy here and backing Oakland.

That's about all you need to know right there.

And I bet that in most of those games Oakland was less than a 9 point dog that didn't cover.

I just read a weekly report for Oakland and according to Palmer and DMC they would like to run more and we should expect to see more this week vs Atlanta. Like I said before though with our defense it should not matter a whole lot ecs. if we are trading td's for fg's. Raiders secondary this year has been allowing 71% completion rate so obviously Matty Ice and his triple threat receiver/t.e. core must be licking their chops. Opposing Q.B's have also enjoyed a td/int ratio of 9-0 and only been sacked 3 times on the season. The interior defense aside from their QB pressure failures are also yielding about 130 y.p.g. on ground. And the opponents are killing Oakland in the always crucial time of possesion dept. We are actually dead last in the NFL for time of possesion with the total just over 25 min a game!

Oakland showed a lot of promise in that game. If it wasn't for the pick-6 I think they would have won.

Atlanta underperformed. They couldnt get things going in the 1st half and Raider D was real good.

also interesting that ATL was Pre-BYE in this matchup and Pre-BYE teams at this moment are 2-11 ATS on the season. looks like DET(PHI is Pre-BYE) is gonna cover the # also, bringing the Pre-BYE teams to 2-12 ATS(Fade) on the season
