I am 25 years old and work as an investment banker earning over 250k a year and have a hot as f**k gf in med school. My weekly betting turnover is give or take $15,000. Tonight I had $5k on GB moneyline and $900 on GB -4. I accept losses and move on but after tonight, I've realized there is nothing more valuable then cash in hand.

I've been sports betting since I was 18 and have never ever finished a year ahead. I go on streaks weeks/months thousands and thousands ahead but I never end up with a positive balance.

Putting your hard earned money in the hands of complete randoms, whether they be replacement officials or baseball umpires is a dead-end street.

The books always win. Simple fact. Tonight is the greatest moment of my life. I've withdrawn every single dollar from my 3 bookies and will never ever bet on sports again.

Instead I'll live a lavish lifestyle and laugh at anyone who claims to be a sports bettor. My only regret is that it took 7 years to learn, and I have the money to lose. What chance is there for 95% of the gamblers our there?

I loved this forum and spent way too long on here for my own good, but tonight marks the end.

I had a series of those 1 point beats last season too & want to walk away from sports betting as well. I've been at this for 3 years and have had a couple of overseas holidays with my profits but it's been a lot of time wasted. Would've rather taken on a part-time job for that extra cash without the equity swings and stress. Even if you win you lose because your brain is always thinking of the angle for the next game. And then it's all day checking scores, getting distracted and not being able to enjoy anything.
