Another newbie (Jim) here looking for guidance
Hi everyone, I've been reading these forums the past few days and they are great, I've never seen anything else like them before. I found them through references to the author of Conquering Risk which I bought from Amazon a couple of weeks ago and am reading through at the moment.

I am trying to learn as much as I can about sports betting at the moment so have been reading up on sabermetrics and other aspects of modelling. My favourite sports are baseball, football, hoops, hockey, tennis and cricket.

If anyone has any advice for a newbie, please feel free to bestow it upon me
    Jim

Here's some reason to become a SBR Pro from another thread. It's well worth it.

Why should I become an SBR Pro?

So basically non-pro members can't sell the points for cash?

pretty much, non pro's can only get a hat and a t-shirt from the store.

Thanks guys. I'll kick round the form for a month or so and if I stick it out will donate the $200 to charity that is required to become a pro member here.

If you're a non US resident and have a valid Moneybookers account, you can sell your points to SBR as a non Pro after first making a purchase of points from the store.

Jim - Check out the Think Tank if you haven't already done so. That's where all the math wizards, modellers, etc... discuss the more advanced betting topics.
