    Reduced Lines What is that?
    Hi,
I'm new (obviously) but am wondering what reduced lines are?

They seem to offer a better price then the basic line.

Don't understand why? Is it better to just bet Reduced?

    thx

it obviously is better to bet reduced because you get a better value.
but, reduced lines are only available the day of the event, and you cant bet on it with bonus money or free plays.

Well Pinnacle for example offer reduced juice but don't offer any sign up or bonus offers as a bit of a trade off. Also the attraction of reduced juice brings in a higher turnover overall for the book. It is no coincidence that 5Dimes and Pinnacle are the two highest rated books at SBR, they each offer reduced juice.

I like to describe it as a bonus if you are a typical bettor. For example a 10% bonus that you have to bet through 2 times before cashing out is 5 percent off or about -105. Same with 20 percent 4x play through. If you bet the same line at -105, you always have that bonus.

For a recreational player it is a bonus that never ends unless the book takes it away (like betonline). I guess they could also take it away for winning or pissing Tony off.

Regular Juice: Means you have to risk $110 for every $100 that you want to win.

Reduced Juice: Means that you have to risk $105 for every $100 that you want to win.

If you do the math, you'll see that Reduced Juice is a lot better.

                    Its as simple as that.
