I have been betting on sports for some time now but mainly college football for the thrill of the bet. Since joining this site I have become extremely interested in betting MLB because of the excellent insight many members have on betting on the game. I have been thinking that i would love to get into handicapping baseball myself. could someone help me or point me in the right direction to resources of the basics of handicapping. Where do I begin. I know everyone has to start somewhere. Any help would be apreciated.

#3Most handicappers will use statistics that they consider to be key in determining outcomes. In MLB obviously these tend to revolve around pitching and batting averages, home vs road form and the like. Sites like statfox are a good source for the raw data but determining what weighting to give these stats only comes through experience and literally thousands of 'trials' or samples.Comment -

#6Asian Handicap is a bet type mainly used for soccer. By way of example, a line might be:
Team A -1.0 @ -105.
This means.
Team A wins by 2 or more goals = win
Team A wins by 1 goal = push
Team A draws or loses = Loss
There are also however, split handicaps, for example:
Team B -1.0 and -1.5 @ -105 (can also be expressed as -1.25)
In this type of handicap, half of your stake goes on -1.0 and the other half on -1.5Comment -
