It's a good way to restrict yourself and limit the number of wagers you make, but in reality for every time you find value in a plus moneyline, there was value elsewhere in a - ML.

I just mean that it in no way increases your chance of making money vs. someone who bets only chalky ML's. Sometimes the value is found on the favorite, sometimes it is on the dog. No system ever works because the lines even themselves out in the long run. The idea of sharps betting dogs is wrong, sharps bet where there is value. If a team is -600, they may still have value because the "real" line should be -800, at which point betting the dog at +500 is a far worse bet than the favorite at -600.
