Cinncinati hates OSU this should be a huge rivalry game, I think 7.5 is way to many points to be giving Cinnci with their bruiser style of play. If the refs let the kids play I think Cinci covers.

how can it be a huge rivalry game when they haven't played since before any of us were born? don't buy into the ESPN manufactured story that OSU and Cincy hate one another. the simple fact of the matter is that everyone hates Cincy and, best i can tell, Cincy hates everyone.

Might not be classified as a rivalry but definitely got it right by stating that they are 2 Ohio schools that don't like each other.

How many schools like each other when they are playing in a game of this magnitude?

How many in state matchups are there in the Sweet 16 this year? How many times do you have to respond to a comment with a question?

i don't know about that. they are obviously two Ohio schools, but i've lived here for a long time and can never remember any event that would support the theory that OSU and UC hoops teams (or athletic teams in general) have any real animosity towards one another (beyond the obvious competition in recruiting that exists in any region). i hear it repeated over and over by mongoloids like Greenberg and Doug Gottleib, but they offer no factual support for this theory.
just saying that i wouldn't base my rationale for a play on this game upon any sort of perceived animosity between the teams or their fan bases. playing UC +7', say, on the basis that they have only lost one game (Marquette) by a margin wider than that since the XU game in early December is much better reasoning. i'm on the under for reasons that i believe are much more tangible that this imaginary hatred between OSU and UC. BOL to you tonight.

Lol i would never let them 'not liking each other' decide who i would play. But i do feel an instate Sweet 16 matchup adds a little extra fuel to the fire for both teams.

well, someone above did. if it's not relevant to the rationale for a play, i'm not certain as to why it's being discussed.
i think it's completely irrelevant, but i've heard it mentioned dozens of times this week from numerous sources. not surprising given that most people would rather throw out overly simplistic but faulty logic rather than try to reason through the very interesting match-ups in this game (e.g., Gates vs Sullinger, Buford vs. Kilpatrick, Craft vs. Wright, who will guard D. Thomas, and in turn, how will Matta have Thomas attack that match-up).

If they do not play each other, then in no way is it a rivalry.

Haha, alright fine the words "Rivalry Game" might have been misused by me, however, the point I was making is that Cincinnati and Ohio State probably will have a little extra motivation, especially Cincinnati. I mean I could be wrong, but I bet in Ohio this is all anyone is talking about and you better believe that kids that go to Cinncinati probably have an inferiority complex since OSU has been a better program for that past few years at least.

it is a fact that when Cincy has any attempt at saying they are better than OSU - they try to do it. Case in point when they went undefeated a couple years ago in CFB. The Cincinnati fans tried to say they were the best football team in the state - then they went out and got wacked by florida in the bowl game and all shut their traps.
If Cincy wins tonight, their fans will definitely be talking trash about how they have the best team in ohio.
Does that have any affect on the outcome of this game? definitely not.

If craft didn't disrupt pangos and get in his head the zags would have beaten OS. Now craft goes against a defense that plays for 40 minutes. They damn near guard u during time outs. Its relentless.
Sullinger reminds me too much of big baby Davis, hyper emotional. Ill take 8 points and the under. BoL

Cincy is tired of being little brother of osu. This line is very sharp... I could see osu knocking down free throws late and winning by 9-12 points or uc wins su, but I just don't see us winning.
