    South Florida -2.5
    Who`s with me.

Those guys on USF are beasts and dont fukk around. An incredibly feisty and pesky bunch who impose their will upon you until you surrender and beg for forgiveness. Hard nosed sons of bitches. Been following them this yr as I used to live in So Fla for many years. At home they are absolute juggernauts ,, they have taken their home play into this tournament playing with amazing desire , devastating force, zeal, and passion.

that defense is truly unbelievable and we all know advancing in tournaments is mostly all about defense (see louisville and wisconsin tonight, why Butler made it so far before, see south florida and georgetown yesterday etc etc) through the years,,

USF doesnt just play great D, but they absolutely LOVE to play it.. thats what makes them successful. They dont just do it because its what the coach says, but making a great play on D feels like a spectacular dunk to these guys. They live for that suffocating defense they play that forces so many errors from the opponent,

ohio is a nice team but there are some pansies on that team. Beating michigan whooptee doo, michigan sucks and came into this tournament hanging their heads with zero momentum. USF is no michigan. I love the mental makeup and fortitude of this USF squad to cover here. One of my favorite plays of the day.

I'm all over it. I don't particularly like the reverse line movement, but I think the big money is wrong. So Fla rolls.

Im an early RLM guy to be sure, but we saw that with Mercer and other tourney games today. And how did they turn out.

In the NBA, both the Bulls and Knicks covered on early RLM movement from the night before (Mavs and Nuggets covered the early RLM lines making it an even 2-2 for that league)

Extra motivation for USF will be that theyll likely face North Carolina in the following round and already know they can kick UNCs asses up and down the court

just think of the Baltimore Ravens. This USF defense is as mean and nasty, and intimidating... and devastating. Think of them as the 2000 Ravens Defense of college basketball.

when Ive watched them play this year, right away thats what I thought of. A college basketball version of the Ravens. Thats their MO and how they approach games. Coming out on the court thirsting to rip your heart out and break your will to compete

Agreed, they are nasty on d, the only question about this game is if their offense shows up, but their d is so nasty they can show p late to the party like last night and still win

A decent video preview of this matchup in the following link:

play the video on the right. Includes a coach who played against USF this year, describes them as `unbelievable`

ps- I wasnt impressed with Ohio`s schedule this year. USF had a far FAR tougher schedule in alot of wars, they are alot more battle tested

                        .

This is my biggest play yet. The Mac has not seen a defense like south fla all year. Ohio will struggle to hit 50 points.

I just love the fact that USF has their game so fine tuned. They play at such an incredibly methodical pace, that the opponent must shoot very well to have a chance to beat them, the opponent must make the absolute most of every opportunity and possession they get. USF FORCES you to play that way, you have no other choice.

And Ohio is not a good shooting team. They shoot around 42% as a team and 32% from behind the arc. mediocre. Ohio may have that one very good player every team needs, but USF is so good at taking away one player when they have to do it, shutting him down. When I read that Ohio goes as their best player goes, I knew USF was the play for me

Ohio, again, is a nice team. I had them with the pts against michigan. But all year they only played one ranked team, that was Louisville and Ohio lost. By contrast USF played 10 ranked teams - and USF beat Louisville on the road (i know thats not the way to look at a matchup its just to raise a point how USF is far more battle tested against good teams)

the other night was Temple`s lowest scoring output of the season. And not only was it their lowest scoring game of the year, but it was their lowest scoring game by a staggering 20 points. TWENTY POINTS !

Temple is a team with some very gifted and talented offensive players.

in the 1st half, Temple only had 13 field goal attempts. Think about that for a moment, just THIRTEEN FG attempts in 20 mins of basketball, and they only converted 3 of them. That`s how stifling USF was,

13 of their 19 first half points came via the foul line.

Hopefully we splurge Ohio like this:

Ugly, ugly, ugly. Just the way South Florida likes it.

The Bulls introduced the NCAA tournament to the Big East's nastiest defence Wednesday night, putting more than just a chill into a California team that had never seen anything like it.

The Bulls allowed only 13 points in the first half and brushed their way to a 65-54 victory.
South Florida (21-13) will play No. 5 seed Temple in Nashville on Friday, a matchup of teams known for gritty defence.

Few have been better than this one for the first 20 minutes on the NCAA stage.
The Bulls swarmed ‘em, bumped em' and swatted their shots away — those that weren't air balls, that is.

California (24-10) didn't score over the last 8:55 of the first half, missing 10 shots and turning it over twice while South Florida pulled ahead 36-13.
Guard Jorge Gutierrez, the Pac-12 player of the year, was held to 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting.I t wasn't all defence that got it done for South Florida. Freshman point guard Anthony Collins, a thin-built player with a youthful face that reminds coach Stan Heath of a 12-year-old kid, played like a star in his first NCAA tournament game, scoring 12 points. Victor Rudd had 15 points

The Golden Bears won't soon forget the way they got worked over.

They must have felt as if there were six Bulls on the floor at times playing defense.

No, only five. The refs counted.

The Bulls set a Big East record by giving up only 56.9 points per game this season.

Ohio coach already admitting that his team will `try` and must be `willing` to adapt to USF`s game and style. lol

We all know the team that forces you to adapt to their style wins.

Theyre already finished before the game even starts

i have USF +7.5 for $350 on final leg of a teaser play. while i like my chances i cant say im super confident. was thinking of taking Ohio in another sort of teaser and going for a middle. maybe pair Ohio up with Drexel or Michigan St or something.

guys, dont sleep on this Ohio team for one second. im from the area and have seen them play several times, they are very capable of winning this game.

also, im a HUGE michigan fan and i absolutely predicted we would lose that game to these Ohio guys, think i have a pretty good feel to this team. something has me really worried about Ohio that thinks they can win in a close one here

my initial thought was take USF to cover but im not so sure and im even worried about my +7.5 to be honest.

do not sleep on Ohio guys seriously!!!

not sure what i'll do yet.
