Why is Virginia -7.5 over V. Tech?

To me, this line should be more like 3.5 or 4. I'm taking the points and a small play on V. Tech to win straight up at +290. Virginia is 233rd in the nation in scoring. Their only impressive win IMO has come over Michigan. They have been impressive as of late, crushing Georgia Tech. by over 30 points and barely lost to Duke at Cameron Indoor, but I see this Rivalry game being very close. In fact, I like V. Tech to get their first ACC win tonight. Thoughts?

I'm not sure why people like tech here? Virginia is 4-1 ats against them. Vtech just lost to Boston college, wake, unc, and Florida state. Virginia plays great defense and just rolled gtech and almost beat duke. Tech is 6-8 ats while Virginia is 9-3. The rivalry may keep it close though but I don't see a case for tech beyond that

I see your facts, but nothing you have said tells me UVA is likely to win by double digits. There's a reason Virginia is 15-2 and only ranked 17th in the nation.

It's more of a knock on tech than a positive on Virginia. If viriginia makes their shots in the 2h they may cover. I'm not taking them though.
