Pitt/ dukes and tenn/ Virginia
Pitt should cruzz here Duquesne not so good but 15 points I think they give them a respect pass they take it easy on them since 2007 Pitt has beat duquesne by the following amt of pts starting 2007 5, 27, 9, 11, 14 last year. So I think 15 is too many your thoughts? Then tenn vs Virg tenn should Winn outright but why did the pts go from +4 to +5 thanks I sit and look for ur response lets get the Books $ in the Bank

I actually wrote out two really thought out responses to both games, but go figure, while I'm tabbed out they disappear.
Anyway, as far as duq/pitt - At first glance, I think 15.5 is a sharp line. I could see Pitt winning by 10-20. Obviously Pitt is the better team on paper at almost every facet. On the other hand Du shown they're not afraid to play with anyone. I think this will come down to sweating out the final minutes and the final baskets. I will admit I haven't seen enough of Duquesne to really be confident in this opinion.
Now to Tennessee and Virginia.
I like Virginia in this one. They are defensively solid and a very physical team who are doing a great job of sharing the basketball. While the Vols have some great individuals, I think they're still struggling to find an identity and will have trouble putting together a full game. I think the home crowd in Charlottesville will play a big impact as well. This will be my second bet of the thread.

Both teams are great defensively. On top of this, I think USF is going to try and use up the 35 second shot clock on nearly every possession tonight. They did this last year with success and it should come into effect tonight. Trying to run with OK St. would be a death wish.

Been pretty hot to start the year so far.
My first contribution will be a caution vs a pick. Gentlemen these 18, 19yr olds are about to go on a 2/3 week vacation. We all know what mischief they might get in to with nothing to do except hoops. And no, for most it's not practice more. What happened to Ohio and Boise St.
I guess we give Boise a pass as it was Majerus tribute night and Utah shot 75% in the first half. But they only won 6 games last year and have equaled that this year.

Looks like Ohio was just overmatched.
I bet against Memphis earlier in the year with MINNY, and as predicted Memphis shot themselves in the foot. If they can string together a couple more performances like this they're going to be one of the more dangerous teams in the country. They've always had the talent, it's more a lack of discipline and togetherness that has plagued them.Comment -
This was one of the games I had circled to look at along with Creighton @ Nebraska.
I think you may be on to something here with the under. I definitely lean that way. The only thing that worries me is how efficient Xavier is from the floor. I don't think Vandy will be able to check Xavier. The second half of the Musketeer's game against Purdue really left an impression on me (not to mention I had 5x on them, LOL, easy to say now of course).I see this one as a runaway from jump street. I am thinking a score of around 70-54. Going to wait for Xavier to tick down to 10 before I make it a play.Comment -
Something that really bothered me last year was Tu Holloway. As good and as clutch as he was, he was never interested in getting involved until the 2h, or until Xavier was down by 10. I think this often made them play more passive and give up a lot more than they should have. This year I think they all come out a lot more aggressive, and while they may not have the same amount of talent, they work together great and appear to be a lot better defensively. Have a fine coach as well in Mack.
