They hadn't beaten UNC for quite few seasons, so it was an upset. Typically UNC has had the better squad for a while now hence the 13 games streak for UNC until this season.

I like this play, Virginia are one of the slowest tempo in the CBB and if Maryland another slow tempo team can get their way against fast tempo NC State then Virginia will able slow the game as well. [Low scoring game]
