WNCAA: St.John's +8.5 [-110] St.John's basically won a road game in the 2nd round beating Oklahoma in their own building to advance to the Sweet 16. This is also the team that ended UConn's 99 game home court win streak. Duke is certainly athletic and talented enough to beat anyone, but this St.John's squad has a little swagger to it with the clutch wins they have worked through two rounds. I think getting this many points is worth a shot on a team that believes they can win.

I'm also taking 0.5 units on the St.John's ML at +330. I think there will be a couple ML upset winners in the Sweet 16. Tomorrow, likely looking at A&M and Gonzaga to fill those roles ... but not 100% on those yet.

Over never in doubt with all those fukking foul calls. 2-1 today. Disappointed the 3 pt. prop didn't really have a good shot. Ohio State really stayed with the game plan of pounding it inside and they passed up some threes to keep with that. Gotta give them credit for their game plan. 2nd halves rollin in the Regional Finals round @ 5-0 now.
St.John's starting strong for the ladies with a 2 pt. lead late in the 1st half. Debating a late play on the Stanford-SC game. Looking a little bit at it.

Duke is incredible again tonight. I think STJ had a 25-23 lead and it's 26-4 since then. Guess I need to stop going against those broads.

Yeah I actually thought about trying Scheepers, but figured I'd limit my long shot dog losses today. She's probably gonna blow it in 3.

Up 5-2 and loses 5 straight games to lose the set. Yes, what should have been a nice hit on a big underdog is prob going to be a 3rd set loss

Lost 7 straight games and Stosur is serving and should be 8 straight games after having a chance to serve for the match, now down a break in the 3rd..
Is this worthy to be considered an.epic choke?

Yeah, but Scheepers isn't top notch, so it's kind of typical WTA in the end.

Yeah, but she just lost her 9th point in a row after having complete control. Down 2 break points and about to lose her 10th in a row. I still have had a great day, so not complaining too much.. this would make me think fix, but its way to obvious to be an actually fix, so it can't be
Damn missed the tip on the first women's game. Would have gone with A&M and the points. Gotta say the thing I am most pleased with is the turn around for the 2nd halves. They were not going well early in the tournament, but have been very good in the Sweet 16/Elite 8. I think partly due to better discipline on my part and some with lazy lines being hung. Definitely have noticed better edges in the ones we've played the last few days.

South Region: Kentucky SG Doron Lamb Total Points Over 13.5 [-130] Lamb figures to be a key player in today's battle with Baylor. The bigs are going to get a lot of talk about length, pro potential, hops, etc. - but I think Lamb needs to have a big game and has a good match-up against the smaller Heslip. Lamb has bulk [30 pounds] and height [two inches] on the guy who will probably be guarding him most of the game. Lamb is Kentucky's leading scorer for the tournament at 17.7 ppg. He has at least 16 in each NCAA game thus far and is doing it in a variety of ways. He nailed five threes against Iowa State. He got to the line eight times against Indiana. So if Heslip over pressures him outside, Lamb can blow by him and get to the rim. Calipari has talked about how he has been riding Lamb to be more aggressive and shoot more. He seems to have taken that to heart so far. The key number for me is getting Lamb at least ten shots. When he has taken double digit shots, he has hit for at least 14 points in 13 of 14 games. It would be helpful to get him to the line a few times as well.

Damn I am so miffed about missing the start of this game. Talked yesterday about taking A&M and Gonzaga today. Think I thought it started at 1pm ET, not 12. Really thought taking A&M ML and Gonzaga ML today would yield you a profit and 1-1 day at worst with a possibility of going 2-0 I think.
Over is in pretty good shape.

This over is going to close. They went almost 2:00 with no points late in the game that really hurt. A&M choking big time, gave up a big lead. Reminds me of the Louisville-Fla game yesterday.

Screwed. A&M didn't score a single point in the last 3:50. If they make one basket, this pushes. Think it translates to the WNCAA, just the good old drought at the end of a game.

I didn't have a real strong feeling either way. Probably would think under a little bit more than over. Kentucky's perimeter defense is really good and Baylor got held in-check by Xavier who is solid defensively, but not nearly as good as Kentucky.

Take the good with the bad I guess.... Its good I went small on that one. On to the next.... I did however go large on the Lamb over (13.5)pts Ken/Baylor game though.

Yikes. Lamb doesn't look like he's going to be a factor right now. Calipari is using a bigger lineup, Lamb has barely played maybe five minutes and has one shot.

Midwest Region: Kansas-North Carolina Total Three Point Shots Made Over 10.5 [-130] This is more of a gut play than statistical. KU has been in an offensive slump this entire tournament and have connected on just 12 threes so far this tournament, including an ugly 1/14 game against N.C. State. Still, I think the Jayhawks have to make outside shots today to win. The lane is going to be an absolute war zone with the bigs on both these teams. I think that is going to leave chances for Taylor, Johnson and Teahan. On the other side with UNC so disjointed without Marshall, they looked content to jack up some ill-advised threes not in the flow of the offense and I expect we'll see a bit of that again today. Bullock was hot against Ohio and has really been hot all tournament with ten made threes. Barnes is an X-factor because when he gets going early, he can reel off 2 or 3 from distance. I also think Hairston is a key guy today. They're going to need guys to step up and replacement Marshall's production - even if his point output isn't great, he was hitting timely threes. Hairston loves taking the deep shot, so let's see if he gets his minutes.

With all these fouls, Lamb may still have a shot. He's got 9 now and seems to be getting PT this half.
