Any thoughts on vcu and usc

Surprised vcu made it to the big dance but they may be a sleeper....when they get going, they're pretty tough. They live and die by the 3 but I don't think highly of them at all and think USC takes care of business against them....then again, vcu did beat ucla earlier in the season.

Anybody with insight on this matchup?

Im interested in VCU, yes I do think that the comittee made a mistake letting VCU in but im not upset that they did because the team that clearly didnt belong was UAB.

Explain. I have watched both teams this year quite a bit. USC looks like a college team, VCU even at home looks like a High school team. USC is in a way stronger conference and plays way better competition.

Exactly right. Everybody is bringing up USC's big wins, but nobody brings up their terrible losses. This team lost to Rider, Bradley, TCU, and Oregon State. USC is extremely inconsistent, and VCU is better than people are giving them credit for.

O'Neill compared VCU's up-tempo, run-and-gun style to Washington's, so he's using the defensive game plan the Trojans used in splitting two games against the Huskies.

I would take USC as VCU isn't close to the Huskies in talent as the same run and gun uptempo team. USC should cover that number.

Get your facts straight. USC made the tourney in both 2008 and 2009...........they have a few starters with tourney experience.

USC held opponents to under 63 points per game and to 41% field goal shooting.

USC will be too much inside and on defense.

VCU doesn't have the defense that can stop the 2 6'10 forwards at USC. USC will beat them up inside and shoot the three ball at an effective rate. VCU will try to double team the post and it will be a simple kick out for a wide open 3. VCU is trashhhhhh. They beat Drexal and a Mason team that didn't even come to play in the tourney. USC is a defensive minded team ...... we saw what happened with clemson being the defensive minded team against the UAB "offensive juggernaut". Oh yeah the lined opened up similar to the Clemson line too.

What do you guys think of the over on 59 1H? I'm thinking vcu shoots like crazy to let the doubters out there know they belong, and USC has to play alongside them to win.
