Indiana is now without THREE of its top scorers on a team that wasn't that great with all 3 of them in! They still foul by the metric ton, might try not to now that they're so low on players, but with a 4-forward lineup Minnesota might not give them much of a choice.

Indiana has ZERO business winning this game. Period. It is just plain not acceptable for a tournament team to lose to this Indiana squad playing without Christian Watford. Sure you can call it a trap, but Trevor "The Differencemaker" Mbakwe is immune to traps.

Thanks for the info, I think the under is a stronger play given these circumstances but I may make another pick.

I'm not so sure about the under, either. Both teams play up-tempo and Indiana fouls a lot. Against a four-forward lineup like Minnesota, Indiana could allow over 40 free throws to the Gophers.

Minnesota is without Joseph (transfer), Walker (injury), and Nolen (injury), but I'm not sure Joseph made the team any better, and Walker wouldn't see much time with their front line depth. Nolen is a big loss, but he's not a scorer. I think the Minnesota front-line still dominates as Indiana has nobody to match up with Mbakwe. I think Minnesota covers fairly easily, but I guess Vegas knows more than me.

Trevor Mbakwe is immune to trap games. Only way Indiana wins this is if they somehow shoot over 70% from 3 and more turnovers then they are going to give up, and IU commits a lot of turnovers.

Brock Landers is on Indiana. He was on Illinois when they handed Tom Crean his first top 25 win.

MINN should win this, but keep in mind anytime injury information reaches the internet the books already know about it and have it factored into the line ; meaning Vegas thinks the line should be -3 with Watford out not before.

Indiana has the home court advantage, the line on a neutral court would be about -7 and -11 in MN. I don't think this line is off at all... No bet for me.

those approximations always bug me, as if every team has exactly the same homecourt advantage, i know they're generally accurate but my point remains.

I know, for instance, always -3 for home-field in NFL. It always seems to be pretty accurate though.

Hmm, if I remember last night, Indiana was a 1pt fav. Maybe Minnesota -3 is the line post-Watford then. Still, a 4pt move is substantial.
