#3Notre Dame gets smoked every time they go on the road, and Carlton Scott, one of their starters is out. I would back Pittsburgh or nobodyComment -

#5No play for me... ND sucks on the road, but 10 points in a conference game between 2 decent teams is a lotComment -

#8ND's average loss margin on the road is like 17.3. Being a fan I would love to back the Irish here, but I don't even think I can do it. If they shoot well behind the arc they can beat just about anybody, but that is a big IF.Comment -

Carlton Scott is not out...in fact he started against Marquette 2 days ago and had a double-double.
ND's road troubles began when Scott went down with a hamstring injury-----but they are a much different team with Scott in the lineup.
11 is a lot to dish out against a team as good as ND is. Historically, ND has played Pitt tough.
ND is the play tonight.Comment -

#16This idea that ND sucks on the road needs a closer look.
ND is 5-3 in the conference. They did get rolled by Marquette and St. John's. Without Carleton Scott.
The Irish also lost to Syracuse on the road without Scott. However, they led Syracuse by 6 in the second half before Syracuse pulled away late.
Scott is a high energy guy, and when he was back in the lineup last week----ND beat Cincinnati and Marquette.Comment -

ND went cold on the road against Marquette---and what, Marquette was the reason?
Its a tough conference, and 11 is a big number. Its the kind of number that back doors ya. Pitt may be up comfortably by 8-12 late and ND hits a few late threes and beats you.
I don't think anyone can say with certainty that "11 is an easy number to cover".Comment -

#27Typical Brock Landers.
Yaps about Scott not playing, and Scott goes off against Pitt. Scott has hit 5 3-pointers, 7 boards, and has 16 points.
ND is not only covering----they are leading straight up with 2 mins to go.
Nice call Brock!! Solid!!
And its the same bullshit here. Guys start repeating "ND can't win on the road---", and they don't even 'cap the games close enough to know that Scott hadn't played any of the ND road games. That shouldn't surprise me, yet it does.Comment -

#28What an embarrassment. Pitt, 20 game home winning streak. #1 team in the Big East, #1 offense in the nation according to KenPom. Best 3pt shooting team in the conference. Losing at home to the worst road team in the Big East coached by the worst defensive coach in the nation in Mike Brey. Blowing a 5pt halftime lead in the process. Giving up FOUR consecutive uncontested layups to Ben Hansbrough in the last 8 mins.
I thought Pitt has *finally* put that debacle against Tennessee behind them, but Pitt has officially disqualified themselves from a #1 seed.Comment -
