Pitt UConn line is what everyone is talking about in the forum I see ... I think it is just about right although I do like Pitt to cover that number ... UConn has clearly overachieved relying on one player .. and Pitt at home in their first conference game should come ready to play .. I think they will be ready

Since their great stretch in Maui they have played 5 straight cupcake teams and are now going on the road to play in a very tough place against a team looking to avenge their only loss of the season a few games ago. UConn is also traveling a little big just a few days after Christmas ... I'm interested to see what all you guys are on?

I am with you. Here is what I think.... I look around on SBR today and the whole forum is talking about " How could Uconn be +7?" And at first glance I thought the same thing, but after closer inspection I see that Pitt has beaten Uconn by a combined 28 points in their past 3 meetings. Pitt won by 10,10,and 8. This just seems to me that Pitt or better Yet Jamie Dixon has Uconn/Calhoun's number and yes I know the coaches will not be playing but to overlook this fact would be a novice move. Uconn is young and these freshmen have never experienced what Big East conference play is really like, well tonight they will get their first taste. Add to that the fact that Uconn is still undefeated, which brings a whole different level of pressure to a young team, who is about to start a schedule in the most rugged conference in the nation. Plus this game is at one of the most inhospitable places in the nation. The stats are comparable but a slight rebounding advantage lies with the Panthers. Pitt is a veteran team who already slipped up at home once, it will not happen again. Plus the public is all over Uconn. All of these factors make Pitt -7 my play. BOL

Pitt -7 (1u) - Hammew I am right there with you. I like your write up and reasoning. I will be going with Pitt tonight to show these young UConn guys what the Big East is really like. I think UConn will be fine this year but relying on Walker almost every game WILL NOT work in the Big East during their long rugid schedule. I like the line moving up at most places despite the huge public discrepancy. I am hoping that come conference play I start to pick up units and I'm hoping this is a start. I'm posting it now because I will be at the Bucks/Hawks game tonight. good luck everyone

IT would be the other way around .. Minnesota is the road dog playing their first conference game in a very tough place kind of like UConn was and are the higher ranked team yet are still getting so many points with the public on them ... Wisco would be the Pitt team at home, both very tough places to play being favored by a big number.....

plus Michigan and Purdue are not in this game .. I am confused
