    Snowball's 2010-11 NCAAB plays
just thought i would have a nice easy to reference place
to post my plays this year instead of jumping all around.

My research reveals a teaser for today's opener.

Rhode Island and Navy/Texas Over. no line yet on that total.
games are late, will wait for possibility Pitt may move to -12.5

        Vegas is really holding back.

I love picking teams that run jump and dunk over their competition to cover the spread. My candidates for this year include:

            Kentucky
            UNC
            Duke
            Ohio St.
            Texas
            Kansas
            Memphis
            Syracuse

I'll keep an eye on this thread and if it looks like you know what your doing I will be tailing a lot of your plays. Absolutely love watching College hoops but since I'm from Toronto theres very little coverage on NCCAB and is really tough to keep tabs on all the teams and whats going on.

I'll be looking for a half decent College hoops capper to tail this year, hope its you buddy

college hoops is so hectic. we all know how fast you can make $. in one day literally
10x your money just on straight plays is very doable.
the way the schedules are time staggered and the 2 halfs is all day all night ACTION.
i'll try to post as many plays as possible that I feel best about.
those 2 halfs can be very limited time window especially if there is LM.

                waiting on the Navy/Texas o/u

Covers has the preview line at 147.
Forget it, that's too high for my taste under these circumstances.

One play tonight. Rhode Island +12.

                          tonight

                          1 unit - Charleston +14.5
                          1 unit- Illinois-Chicago +24
                          2 unit - 5pt teaser ( Charleston +19.5 / Ill-Chi +29 )

                          notes:
                          Charleston:
Bobby Cremins has been around the block enough to realize when he's got a good thing working for him. And the Cougars' coach certainly has that this year.
College of Charleston is expected to have its best lineup of players in Cremins' tenure. Guard Andrew Goudelock, center Jeremy Simmons and guard Donavan Monroe form possibly the best trio of players on any team in the Southern Conference.
There's also Antwaine Wiggins, Willis Hall and Matt Sundberg, three more players with a ton of experience as starters. The difference is this year, Wiggins (torn ACL in 2009) and Sundberg (various injuries) are healthy and won't be spending most of their time on the bench.
"Last year after Antwaine went down and Matt Sundberg was hurt all during the preseason, our bench for a long time was made up of two freshmen -- Willis Hall and Andrew Lawrence," Cremins told the Charleston Post and Courier. "Those two freshmen did a great job, and then Sundberg got healthy and helped us. We're hoping we don't have any more injuries. We would never have won 22 games (last season) without those two freshmen."
If that was the case during an injury-affected 2009-2010, the sky may be the limit this year for the Cougars. College of Charleston and Wofford should battle all season for the top spot in the Southern Conference South Division.
The winner is expected to also win the overall conference title and the automatic qualifier into the postseason NIT. But the way the Cougars are shaping up, even that may be a disappointment.

                          Illinois-Chicago:
The UIC men's basketball program literally hit the ground running under first-year head coach Howard Moore.
Moore, 37, who spent the previous five seasons on Bo Ryan's staff at Wisconsin, became the school's 10th head coach in August. In order to make his team more physically and mentally tough in the final two minutes of a contest, he introduced the Flames to a phenomenon known simply as "The Hill."
Once a week for six weeks, players and coaches drove to a hill near Soldier Field. It began with 10 trips up the hill, then climbed to 15 and finally to 20 by the time official practice began. The goal was for every player on the team to complete the task.
"There's a significant mental aspect to it. Going in, knowing you are expected to complete 15 or 16 hills in one session, can be mentally draining," Moore said. "But when it's over, and you are still standing, that's where the guys see the value of the challenge."
UIC will need that strength and focus to climb back to the upper tier of the Horizon League. The 17-man roster includes the top two scorers from last season, guards Robo Kreps and Zavion Neely, and seven newcomers.
"When we're on the road, in a tough conference game, we can think back to the running of the hill," Moore said. "If we can accomplish that as a group, then we can find a way to get a tough win in a hostile environment. That's where the correlation comes in."

I won't be posting teasers anymore, just against the spread.
So far ATS on this thread I am 3-1.
No more 2h on this thread, just picks at onset of the day for a card to play.

My elimination process and handicapping research
reveals the following plays for tonight. Plays are in bold.

                                  Iona +2 @ Kent State 5pm
                                  Samford @ Youngstown State -3
Denver @ UC Santa Barbara -4
Austin Peay +9 @ Saint Louis
note: I believe Austin Peay has a strong chance to win on the ML+400.

Mason and Penn covered, Montana and Denver gave up nice 1h leads and failed.
                                                    so 2-2.

the Denver pick was more of a fade on Oregon than pro-Denver. As a matter
of fact my favorite ATS play today is North Dakota +2 vs. Denver.
North Dakota shocked Santa Barbara yesterday in this tournament.
The other games present some nice teaser opportunities.
Florida State, Temple and Iona are both vastly superior to their opponents.
the Duke line is too high for me, but I'm not taking Princeton at Duke either.
Under normal conditions I would take Santa Barbara to rebound vs Oregon
but this tournament is in Oregon's new facilities.
My only ATS play is North Dakota +2.
