Yeah that's the excuse always given but remember that Magic team was stacked as well. Grant averaged nearly a double double. Nick Anderson was a borderline all-star. Dennis Scott one of the best 3 point shooters of the time. And 0 titles to show for it even with Jordan taking 1.5 years off during their peak

Hardaway fell off a cliff after the injury which tells me he mostly got by on athleticism against much smaller guys at his position (at the time)

I still say trading Chris Webber for Hardaway was insane by Orlando. They could have had Shaq and Webber for at least 3 seasons and put average talent around them and might have won a title.
