LOL. Last year this same Butler team could have gone to Louisville and they would have been +12 and everyone would have jumped all over Louisville.
Next year this same exact Butler team goes to Louisville and might be + 2 and the whole world will jump all over Butler.
Yeah I cant wait till next year either.Comment -

#12Yeah suckerforparlays,
Jump all over Butler next year. They are the best ever. I am sure they will do better, what thoughdid they do this year, win 25 straight games and finish one shot short of a national championship ? They are going to be better, um ok.
Not really the point I was making though. The point I was trying to make is that the time to jump on a team is before the whole world knows they are good. Not after the whole world has jumped on the bandwagon.
Tell you what, not to many people on this board ever breathed the word BUTLER before their run in the tournament. How many times did you post BUTLER as a play BEFORE the ncaa tournament ? I will take a wild guess and say ZERO.
but anyways, you guys go ahead and jump on that bandwagon, lay -15 next year in spots where you wouldnt have played them -2 this year. They damn well better be better for all you bandwagon jumpers sakes. good luck with that.
but you might first want to do some research on how it turns out bandwagon jumping last years cinderella first.Comment -

#13well i only found the forum in January I think. But i was on Butler the entire year when I saw they were ranked in the 10 spot preseason. I never jumped on the bandwagon with these guys. I love mid major programs. There more fun to root for.
I picked Southern Illinois to make it to the Sweet 16 KU ended up winning by 2 points i think
Davidson to make it to the Elite 8 KU ended up winning by 2 I think
North Dakota State to win the Summit and make there first appearance (that was back in June July I picked them) KU ended up running away by like 11 I think
My sleeper was St.Louis this year but didnt quite make it.
So yea I guess I jumped on the bandwagon considering I only pick mid majors for my sleepers.
So Kansas boned me 3 years in a row. I no absolutly nothing about college basketball thoughComment -

#17Its really not just a question of them being better.
They can be better and still be a bad bet.
If they opened at Louisville last year they would have been probably + 10 and Louisville would have pretty much overlooked that game.
This year they open at Louisville that game might be a PK or Butler could be favored. Also, Louisville coaching staff has 8 months to study Butlers 6 NCAA games. Teams wont take them for granted, coaching staffs will figure out a better approach to how to play them, and Butler is going to be expected to cover much bigger spreads.
Even though they won all their Horizon League games this year, they had a few close calls. They didnt win a lot of by 10-15 points. In the Horizon League they will be favored probably by double digits about every game.
Its your money, do with it want you want. But IMO Butler will be a terrible bet next year as their lines are going to be horribly over inflated. But good luck with whatever you bet.Comment -

#21Yeah if you think you're going to get the same line on butler next year as you could have got last year, you're nuts.
You aren't the only person in the world who saw the NCAA tournament, jump all over that bandwagon and you will get crushed just like everyone else.
Dont forget, Butler didnt win by much in round 1 and only beat Murray State by 2 points in round 2. Those are both ATS losses next year.
You guys are all ready to bet Butler in the Louisville game without even knowing what the line is. LOL. You aren't handicapping a line, you are jumping on a bandwagon. Just like everyone jumped all over that Bronco bandwagon when they started 6-0. How did that turn out.
Again, I did a search to see how many times any of you posted a Butler play before the NCAA tourney and you all had ZERO. Good luck on that bandwagon and good luck with all your Butler -15 plays next year.Comment -

my god your a ****ing toolbag . This is pathetic how you no nothing. I wasnt talking about the ****ing NCAA where the the lines are tighter. The Butler Lines were inflated through the year. They either barely covered or barely didnt cover. There lines were loaded.
I never jumped on the ****ing bandwagon you stroke bag.
Talk to The Profit and he will back everything up I say
I never jumped over no bronco bangwagon because I dont even follow football so I dont no what your even talking about
COMPLETE TOOL BAG that doesnt understand anything.
and once again I NEVER JUMPED ON THE FUCING BANDWAGON YOU RETARD DUMBASS.

#24Yeah when someone says something I guess you automatically assume its for you.
I guess in your world " you guys " = YOU.
Again, not a single time was Butler ever posted by you before the NCAA tournament run, so call it what you want its a bandwagon jump either way.
You prove by your words that you didnt really follow Butler too closely by saying their lines were inflated. On 2/11 they beat a shit youngstown state that finished the horizon 2-16 by 11 points --- AND COVERED. LOL. Yeah thats a real inflated line. They were a 7 1/2 - 8 point favorite against a team that finished the horizon league 2-16. Next year, they will be 17 in that spot.
On 11/21 they beat the MVC last place team EVANSVILLE by 4 points --- and COVERED the 1 point line.
They finished the season 18-20 ATS because they dont win big very often. But thats right, they are going to be so so so much better next year. Yeah in your dreams they are going to do better than 33-5, win 20+ straight and play for the title. Keep dreaming.
But anyway you keep on betting Butler blindly and after you get smoked doing that you can jump all over next years cinderella and do it all over again.
Anyways, I am done talking to you or responding to this thread. You are boring and have nothing intelligent to add. The constant name calling and child like analysis make it pretty clear you are about 15 years old. But anyways good luck on the band wagon, you are going to need it.Comment -

I just had to do it.
Searched -- Username SUCKERFORPARLAYS
SEARCH TERM (s) BUTLER
3 RESULTS BEFORE THE TOURNEY
#1. (2/17) Suckerforparlays posts that he is betting AGAINST BUTLER
#2. (2/26) Suckerforparlays posts 9 days later that he is betting AGAINST BUTLER
Then right before tourney -- Someone asks DO YOU THINK BUTLER WILL BEAT UTEP
Suckerforparlays replies
Im really really undecided on that game that has gotta be a PK game right?
It just depends on how you look at that one.
No confidence in them to even get past their #12 seeded opponent in the first round, but now they are going to be so much better next year.
Other than those posts not a single positive word toward Butler until they started winning and everyone started beating off to them.
You didnt jump on the bandwagon -- BULL.
Now I am done with your bandwagon jumping ass.Comment -

#26roflmao that doesnt mean anything are you kidding me. You expected me to pick a team between UTEP and BUTLER and I did end up playing BUTLER in that game. I wasnt gonna say a team is gonna kill another team in a NCAA are you kidding me your a joke to think a team is gonna win easily.
And yes I did play against Butler against Murray State I had Murray State winning 2 games making it to the Sweet 16. You think just because I bet against them I jumped on the bandwagon your a tool man. You expect me to bet a team every single game through the year get a life. Im gonna play the team who I think is better. I guess I jump on the bandwagon if I bet against them in a game apparently according to you.
You expected me to give no respect to UTEP only toolbags dont give respect to teams in close matchups like that.
I guess I have to bet them everygame though in order for me not to be on the bandwagon.Comment -

#29I should also Mention MURRAY STATE was my sleeper to make some upsets. So I was going to back Murray State in the first 2 rounds no matter what I told myself before the brackets even got released. I did the same with North Dakota State last year. I had them winning there first round game no matter who they drew. Ended up drawing KU and I still played them out and had them winning in the 2nd round against WVU. So I had my mind made up then that I was gonna play them outComment -
