have to be honest, I would.
$10 million over 4 years?!
Butler gives him $350k/year and there is NO WAY they can match that offer, they could probably only afford 1/10 of that offer.
I know a lot of people who think with their heart want Stevens to stay and take Butler to the NC game again, but be realistic.
Butler's a small private liberal arts school with 4,000 students in Indianapolis. Sure Indiana is a recruiting hot bed, but he'll never be able to get the big time players to come play at little old, Hinkle Fieldhouse.
The University of Oregon is endorsed by Nike, they play in the Pac-10, they have excellent athletic facilities. Brad Stevens can get McDonald's All Americans to come play for him there and STILL build his team around incredible defense, just with better talent. Plus he'll be coaching against the greats like Mike Montgomery, Ben Howland, Herb Sendek, Johnny Dawkins, Sean Miller and Lorenzo Romar on a regular basis.
I honestly think if Brad Stevens takes the Oregon job, he'll dominate the Pac-10 and possibly take the Ducks to a couple of national titles.
