I'm OK with the FF matchups; these are the teams that earned their spots there and no one else can say that, so this is what we're left with. Am I dripping with excitement? No.

I think the city will lack the same excitement it usually has because Butler brings no one to town and WVU and Michigan State fans can drive over for Saturday's game and probably get at least halfway home if that's their choice.

WVU doesn't travel well. Michigan State just made it last year, I doubt they bring a ton of people. Tennessee outnumbered them big time in the regional. Duke should travel. Butler can't sell out home games in their high school gym.

Butler will have the place filled for this game. Everybody loves to jump on a bandwagon. Especially when the bandwagon is for an underdog. I think this final 4 is very intriguing. Why does everyone remember the 2006 final 4, George Mason made the final 4. I can't off hand name the other 3 teams that were in it. Duke brngs out the best and worst in everybody so they will be watched heavily. A michigan st/W. Va probably is the one match up that the networks don't want.

It's interesting that he always recruits such high talent and gets them. What is about the guy? is he as good salesman or a good money frontman to get the best talent available.. Anyways, he always gets them but they never win the big games. Think about that Memphis team that was a sure lock to win it all against Kansas and choked it all way at the FF line.


None of his players ever execute in critical moments of big games. It's like he recruites the best athletes not the best basketball players.
