An awful day for me on Saturday dropping (12.50) units total as I went 2-1 on straight plays, 0-1 on a teaser, and 0-2 on my 2 K-State, future plays. Only needed one more game from K-State and couldn't get it, congrats to Butler, it should be interesting to see how they perform at the FF with all that fan support they are going to have present. Not in the mood for a write-up at the current time and don't know if I will be because I'm off to get pickled with a couple buddies.

I am letting it ride and adding to it in different forms and why would I just let things be as they are? Baylor is the better overall team, they're currently playing better, and they're catching a generous number against a Duke squad that has not impressed me at all, what would be the point of just sitting on the sidelines and riding out my future when I feel this is the right play and the opportunity to make money is present.

I got it at 4.5 and seen it as low as 4 at some shops, have not seen it anywhere at 5 as of yet.

yea me too. i already locked in baylor +4.5 yesterday. now thats its 5 i am debating about adding more or hedging out. i cant tell if the line is actually moving in favor of duke, or my local is just an idiot.

Only positive is I'm still up quite a bit as far as units for the week, +21.40 units, and for the college hoops postseason, +36.40, but after back to back losing days and dropping close to (20) units the past 2 days, its been rough on my end. I guess I will regroup and just try and finish of number 7 of the past 8 winning weeks, a small victory if I can achieve this and have a winning Sunday.

Well with my brackets pretty much shot since I had Kansas State winning it all in the majority of my brackets, I guess I can get back to just focusing on single games and lines as opposed to trying to tie my straight wagers in with futures and brackets which I'm hoping will get me back to form, here goes.

Baylor versus Duke

The Bears are coming off one of the most impressive performances of the tourney with a 72-49 victory over St. Mary's in the Sweet Sixteen, a game in which they lead 46-17 at the break. I don't know what's more impressive, the fact they held St. Mary's to 17 in the 1H and 49 for the full game or the fact they put up 46 points in the 1H and held a 29 point lead at the break, both are pretty solid in my opinion. When I talk about this Baylor squad it all goes back to the number 1 spot and the Bears have one of the most in the nation at that position, Tweety Carter. This kid is a play-maker, he sets up his teammates but in addition can create and hit his own shot. I am expecting him to do a lot of damage against this over rated Duke squad and feel he will just flat out frustrate them because when they start to guard others tight after he has dished out and got them all involved, he will begin knocking down his own shot. Another key factor with only a day rest is that this Baylor team is well condition and can push teams to the max, I expect them to wear down the Blue Devils with their up beat tempo. For Duke, Jon Scheyer has been just flat out awful shooting the rock, going something like 10-31 in the first 3 games of the tournament and I have seen no signs of him finding his shot in this one. Granted he did improve on his 1-11 shooting from the field in round 2 with a 5-15 shooting performance in the Sweet Sixteen, but these numbers are still pathetic. The only player that has been somewhat worried and I mean somewhat, is Kyle Singler because when he catches fire from deep, he can win games for Duke on his own. If Baylor does an effective job guarding Singler and limiting him on the offensive end, I see no reason why the Bears won't take this game straight up. I'm grabbing the points in this one and also playing the Bears on the ML because I just see them being too much for Duke.

Line

I grabbed it at 4.5 but I did see it at 5 at a few shops and even as low as 4 at some others, I'm comfortable with the 4.5 and feel there is great value on the ML at +180. I know I'm already getting them at +575 on the ML with my future but I could not resist throwing some units on the +180 as well. Kansas State let me down but the Bears will get it done for me here for 2 reasons, 1. they are the better, overall team and 2. they are the more conditioned team.

hey Ice frustrating one with Kstate I not only lost 12U on that game but I lost my championship team in my bracket and a team I really enjoyed watching the whole season. I'm pissed but hey it is what it is. I hope Baylor can pull this off tomorrow because I really would like to see them play on. I can honestly say I dislike Duke, Butler, Tenn and WVU (prob the least just huggy bear). I need someone to pull for and I love Baylors team and story. Lets get back on winning track tomorrow buddy!
