... NEVER bet a favorite on the road. ALWAYS put your money on a favorite at home. After keeping up with college basketball for the last 10 yrs.... the smart bet is to always (well most of the time) go with the home team. Home court advantage is prob the biggest factor in college hoops. It is def the best strategy. Sick and tired of losing money on road favorites who cant get the job done. So my advice to all of you is this... when you see a fav going on the road to a team who has a solid home court fan support group, pick the dog at home (with points of course). You will def win more money in the long run. Just my .02 cents.

totally wrong. i agree that home court advantage is the biggest in college bball than in any other sport, but the line factors that in already. also, people give it even more value because they always assume the home team is going to cover. when in fact, away favs are hitting at 53.9% this season (46% home dogs) in college bball. and i bet most away teams have decent value just due to the fact that people think they shouldn't win and pound the home side.

Im sayin this because in my 4 yrs of professional bball we have ALWAYS dominated at home and struggled on the road. Its night and day for the players. They obviously dont want to be embarrased at home... but could give 2 shits if they lose on the road. Trust me fella's. Ive been there.

I actually played in MLB but all of my buddies who played in NBA and College hoops have always told me the best bet comes from home teams..... because of home court advantage. Has worked for me so far. Believe me when you throw 20 grand on a home team w points and you cash in on it... you tend to understand the logic in it and agree with it. Dont have time to ask questions while Im on my way to the bank to cash in my winnings. But what do I know, right?
